On behalf of all the children and families of Camp Heartland, I would like to thank you for your generous contribution which we received on March 17, 2004. This gift helps Camp Heartland further our mission of making life better for hundreds of children affected by HIV/AIDS through year-round support, advocacy, recreational programs and community HIV/AIDS awareness efforts.

While medical improvements have been made in the treatment of HIV/AIDS, it remains a very challenging disease for children. In addition to taking as many as 30 pills per day, the stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV/AIDS is a constant emotional battle for these courageous youth.

Camp Heartland lifts the veil of secrecy and brings hope, strength and a safe haven to hundreds of children forever affected by the isolation and tragedy of HIV/AIDS. In addition to our signature camping programs, we offer a variety of educational, recreational and social opportunities including day trips, a crisis care hotline, special newsletters, birthday and get well packages, and a national reteat for youth affected by HIV/AIDS. As the majority of our campers live in poverty, we offer these services at no cost to the families through the generosity of individuals like you. Please know that your support helps make a year-round and even life long impact for our children.
