The First Time is the Charm with Front Sight!

Monday, November 9th, 2009

The third time is the charm… or so many people hope. You see, there is this guy who has been given the death sentence. For the third time. Von Clark Davis shot and killed his girlfriend, Suzette Butler, in 1983. He was given the death penalty in 1984 but it was relieved. I don’t really know why she got in a relationship with him in the first place, especially without a self defense training or gun training background, because he was on parole during their time together… he had originally been charged for stabbing and killing his wife. Seems like a catch to me! Anyhow, Davis seems to be immune to hear that he is being sentenced to die, because every time it happens, something comes up and his sentence is released. And once again, it looks as if he is going to fight for his life. His lawyer asked for a sentence of thirty years to life. What does this mean to us? It means that if he is given a lesser sentence than the death penalty, technically, he could be up for parole again in a matter of years. Back on the streets. Back to our women. Don’t turn your back. Support Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday With Gun Training!

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Do you equate guns with violence? Many people who support gun control do. But think about this. Mahatma Gandhi was a peaceful revolutionary. His entire outlook was based on the principle of total non violence. On October second, we will celebrate his birthday. It is actually a national holiday, and known all over the world as the International Day of Non Violence. Mahatma Gandhi was definitely one of the most peaceful men that ever lived – and he was against gun control. He said, “Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.” You see, guns do not have to equal violence. If we bear arms for the reason that our Founding Fathers intended – for self defense – the violence doesn’t even come into the picture. The violence comes in when the bad guys use the weapons to get what they want out of us. Why should we have to surrender our possessions, our families or our lives for these criminals? We should be able to practice our Second Amendment rights and have a gun. (more…)

Help End Spousal Abuse – Front Sight Needs YOU

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

America bids a melancholy farewell to the beautiful former swimsuit model, Jasmine Fiore. Her body was recently found in Orange County, naked in a dumpster, with all of her teeth and fingers missing. She appeared to be strangled. Do you know how she was identified? The model’s breast implants had serial numbers on them! To me, that is just a sad and humiliating thing. Not only did the killer brutally murder her, but he tried to conceal her identity by taking her teeth and fingers. Her murderer is suspected to be her husband, reality TV contestant Ryan Jenkins, whose suicidal body was found shortly after Fiore’s death. He is known from his appearance on VH1′s “Megan Wants a Millionaire”… but one look at his past gives off the idea that this guy was a shady character. He was charged a couple months ago with battery because he hit Fiore. Before that, he was diagnosed with a sex addiction and charged with domestic violence and assault. Gross. We need to protect ourselves from guys like this! (more…)

Keep Your Family Alive With Front Sight

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

“My dad’s dead, my uncle’s dead. There’s like six. My whole family’s dead!”

These are the words of twenty two year old Guy Heinze, Jr., on a 9-1-1 call he made this week. He came home to a house of dead people – seven, to be exact. Two more were critically injured, but one of them, a boy with Down Syndrome, died that night. Apparently, the family was beaten to death, and brutally beaten, at that. Faces were “smashed in,” as the young man phrased it. The Georgia mobile home murders are  baffling many people, because there was not a suspect to be found. The only person police have taken into custody so far is Heinze. The detective on the job is calling this the “worst murder case in his twenty five years on the job.” (more…)

Ex Girlfriend Problems? Protect Yourself!

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Want to get revenge on an ex? Apparently New Yorker Kimberly Mayo did! Because of her acting out, it looks like she is going to be sentenced for to ten years in prison. Sometimes I really do not understand how judges come to their verdicts and decide how much time someone gets and how much time someone else gets. What did Mayo do to get her revenge? Well first, she “damaged” her ex boyfriend’s new love’s car. When her ex, Keith Levin, confronted her, an argument started. Lo and behold, Mayo stabbed him in the chest, killing him. THEN, she lied to police about it, only to come clean later on. And she is only getting ten years? Awesome. (more…)

Gun Training Prevents Negligent Homicide

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Yet another story that demonstrates the importance of gun training. Once again, guns in trained hands offer superior protection when it comes to self defense, but guns are serious weapons. If you do not have the proper training, you could end up like nineteen year old Hector Quintero. In Galt, California, Quintero shot and killed nineteen year old Gerardo Briseno, allegedly accidentally. Investigators say that Briseno’s death could be due to Quintero mishandling the gun or not knowing how to use a gun correctly. Now, as a result, Quitnero faces negligent homicide charges. (more…)
