Forget uneventful gun training. Shooting nothing but paper targets all day during your gun training is a thing of the past. Say hello to Ignatius Piazza and real life training. What do I mean by real life training? Just that – Front Sight Firearms Training Institute trains you for real life. Many people have the mindset that an attack or scary situation will not happen to them and do not see self defense training such as martial arts training, gun training or knife training as a necessity. They look at the people who think differently as paranoid or worry warts.
Other people believe that an attack can happen anywhere, at anytime and to anyone, and they want to get as much self defense training, gun training and knife training as possible. They look at the people who think differently as unprepared and naïve.
Some people are aware that a threatening situation is not an impossibility, but in the event of a threat or an attack, they believe that they will just know what to do. I will be honest with you; I used to be a mixture of the first and third. I knew that anyone could be attacked at anytime and anywhere, even if there was no apparent reason for the attack. But I saw thinking about it as paranoia and tried to muffle those thoughts. I just KNEW that if the situation arose, I would be able to rise up and defend myself. Ha. My theory proved itself very, very wrong. In fact, in the event of the threatening situation, my entire body shut down. The situation was unfamiliar and I knew nothing about getting out of it. Quickly, the idea of being able to “just know” what to do turned into only knowing one thing: intense fear.
