I tell countless people about Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Not only do I like to spread the word about this amazing gun training school on the Internet, I tell my friends and family members about how wonderful Front Sight is, as well. Everyone in my family and most of my friends know what Front Sight is, why gun training is important and why Front Sight is better than any other gun training school out there. Many, many years ago, I learned a fabulous thing about learning. I have always enjoyed learning, but I had begun to notice that I learned better from some teachers than I did from others. Why was this? Then I got placed into a class where the teacher explained the concept of learning styles. He explained that everyone learns in different ways, at different speeds and in different patterns. He chose to teach his class based on all of the learning styles: visual, audio and kinesthetic. I looked at my other teachers and realized that the classes I performed better in were the classes that practiced kinesthetic learning. I had friends who excelled in the classes that were purely lecture based, while I was less interested.
These three types of learning are based on seeing (visual), hearing (audio) and doing (kinesthetic). Since everyone learns differently, many people have found that the most productive courses are the courses that use all three types. The self defense gun training courses at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute use this idea very well. This results in better understanding and greater memory retention of a larger number of people, rather than catering to a select few. I talk a lot about a gun training school called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. I rave about the caliber of the school, the educated gun training instructors and the prestige of the founder, Dr. Ignatius Piazza. Front Sight is truly the best.
Tell me this. If an esteemed mathematician were to take a math course from a certain professor, what would that say about that certain professor? Probably that said person had some pretty decent math skills, to say the least. If a Nascar driver were to take a defensive driving course or a racing course from someone, that would show that the person teaching the course must be a really great driver. What about gun training? What does it say about Front Sight Firearms Training Institute and Ignatius Piazza when gun training instructors from other gun training schools choose to attend a gun training course at Front Sight? Not only that, but attend that gun training course and then talk about how impressed they are with it and brag about how much they learned? To me, that says quite a bit about Front Sight and the level of gun training provided there.
The awesome part is, is that actually happens. I have witnessed it myself. I was in a class with more than one gun training instructor, at least one law enforcement officer and at least one military guy. And every single one of them was impressed with the level of gun training provided by the Front Sight gun training instructors. One of them even told me, “Wow. I really didn’t know how much I didn’t know about gun training.” And that’s what he does for a living! That is intense.

By the end of my four day defensive handgun training course at Front Sight, I was shooting just as accurately as some of the more advanced shooters. And I had never shot a handgun before day one.

How old are your kids? Are any of them getting ready to go off to college? You’ve probably talked with them about school, good grades and not getting mixed in with the wrong crowd. But what are you doing actively as a parent to help protect them? Self defense training and gun training is a great option for teens that are about to leave for college. They will be on their own, away from you. They need to be able to protect themselves, because you will not be around to do it for them.
Are you a teen getting ready to move out? Have you received any gun training or any other form of self defense training? If not, why not?
Let me share with you a quick story about myself. Before I had ever even heard of the gun training school called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute or Dr. Ignatius Piazza, I was one of those people that figured I would never be attacked. Those things happen to other people… not me and not my friends. I knew that if I happened to be attacked, (which I wouldn’t be), my adrenaline would overcome me and I would be able to escape. Then when I was eighteen, one of my best male friends, if not the best male friend of mine at the time, took me on a walk to talk about the breakup I had just gone through. I trusted him, so I didn’t think about the fact that it was dark outside and there were no cars driving by. He took me to his old school ground. He was such a good friend of mine, showing me around his school, so I didn’t question walking down some stairs as he was telling me stories of his past. Once down the stairs I realized that we were completely hidden from the outside world. He pushed me against a wall and to the concrete ground and tried to have sex with me, despite the fact that I didn’t want to. Did my adrenaline kick in and take over? No. I shut down completely. I wasn’t prepared. Did I know how to defend myself and push him off? No. I had never taken a self defense course and he outweighed me by forty or fifty pounds. Luckily, he stopped for a moment too long and I was able to break free. But what if he hadn’t stopped? Most predators won’t.
Now that I have attended Front Sight, I feel more confident in myself and my ability to handle a threatening situation. This gun training school teaches true self defense. Would you want to live in a place that has extremely low crime? Wouldn’t it feel great to feel totally safe and secure all the time? Well, imagine sitting in a room with four hundred some odd other people. Now imagine every single one of those people, including you, has a gun on his or her hip. How do you feel?
The first time I experienced this feeling was at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, and I will tell you outright that I have never felt safer in my entire life. Who, in their right mind, would walk into that room and try to rob someone, hit them or take them hostage? Similarly, who in that room would turn around and open fire on four hundred armed people? It was an incredible feeling.

Shooting a gun is the same during the day as it is at night, right?
It is frightening to hear how many people will actually answer this question with a strong, “Yes.” I am scared for those people to have to use a gun to defend their lives or the lives of their loved ones in the middle of the night. Using a gun at night or in low lighting is much, much different than using one in the middle of the day, or in a room where there is plenty of light. Some people let tragedies get them down and let them spread darkness over everything. Some people ignore them and pretend they never happened. Other people make miracles out of the tragedies and end up changing the world.
Dr. Ignatius Piazza is one of those few people who made a miracle out of a tragedy. He has changed the world and the lives of hundreds of thousands of people because he did not want to let one tragedy turn into something worse. In 1988, his neighborhood was rampaged by a devastating drive by shooting. Ignatius Piazza was saddened to realize that he did not have the skills he needed to protect his family and defend his own life. Even though he had received gun training and shot guns regularly out on the shooting range, it just wasn’t enough for that horrible night.
So what did Ignatius Piazza do?
He started studying everything about gun training. He went to the top gun training schools around and practiced shooting for hours and hours and hours. After thousands of hours of studying, learning and shooting, Ignatius Piazza finally secured himself a Four Weapons Combat Master Certificate. But this was not enough for the man. Ignatius Piazza has always been a family man. At that point in time, he knew he could provide his family the protection that they deserved in any and every situation that might have risen. But Ignatius Piazza is also a philanthropist. He wanted everyone in the world to be able to be as safe as they could be.
