What is your best experience with customer service? Have you ever been to a place that just makes you happy? Where the employees obviously love their jobs, the service is outstanding and you feel better just being a customer? Sadly, there are not many places out there with this kind of service. However, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is one of those places. Front Sight has the best customer service that I have ever seen in my life… no exaggeration.
Every employee at Front Sight, from the Range Masters to the people that answer the phone when you call to the people that work in the Pro Shop, will greet you with a genuine smile on their faces, not because they have to, but because they WANT to. Before attending Dr. Ignatius Piazza’s gun training courses at Front Sight, I called the school a few times. Each time I called, the person on the phone was so pleasant… more than pleasant. He was definitely educated in the area of gun training because he was able to answer every question that I had quickly and effortlessly. He was skilled at handling frustrations because I was being that annoying, wishy washy customer who did not want to make a decision. I did not know what option was best for me, and he chatted with me, even though I knew he was busy, until we had reached a solution that worked best for me. He stayed with me every step of the way. And when I called back later, the Front Sight guy remembered who I was.
The men and women who give lectures at Front Sight are highly experienced and trained, and it is unmistakable. The words they spoke kept me captivated every second of the day. They made me think… REALLY think… about making decisions about gun use and gun training. By the end of the first hour of the first day of my gun training at Front Sight, I had already felt like I had learned more than I had ever learned before. And they were not jerks about the lectures either, trying to get through them as fast as possible. They answered every single question that was asked, and answered in a way that encouraged and supported the questioning student’s ideas.
Dr. Ignatius Piazza really did a great job when he picked his staff. The hiring process at Front Sight is intense; only the best of the best of the best make it through. While this made me super happy that the employees on the phone, in the Pro Shop and in the lecture hall were incredible, I was ecstatic to see that Ignatius Piazza’s hiring standards were even stricter on the shooting range. The gun training instructors at Front Sight are nearly indescribable. Patient, encouraging, funny and just plain brilliant, these men changed my life. They know everything there is to know about gun training and they want to share it with the world in the most positive way possible. No bad attitudes, no boot camp like feel and no snide remarks. Just pure awesomeness. The employees of Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight are one hundred percent the best.

During my four day defensive handgun training course at Front Sight, I talked with a bunch of other students about what they were learning from the gun training instructors there. I was a bit disappointed when I didn’t immediately see my bullet hole. Holding my gun out in front of me, thinking that I missed my target, I moved my hand slightly. The front sight of my gun had been blocking the bullet hole from my view! I had hit EXACTLY where I had aimed. Pretty cool. I shot again. Same thing. I shot again. Same thing. In four days at Front Sight, with no prior gun training, Ignatius Piazza’s instructors had trained me to hit exactly on target every single time.

I was asked where I got my gun training. Apparently, the girl first asked one of my guy friends about gun training. Knowing how well I shoot (all humility aside, of course) he directed her to me. I told her I got my gun training from Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. When she asked me where Front Sight was located, I told her it is about an hour away from Las Vegas in Pahrump, Nevada. She seemed a bit confused as to why I would go that far to get gun training when there are plenty of places to shoot and get trained here in California. Let me tell you, it is so easy to explain why… and the girl started her own further research on attending Front Sight.
So, why drive several hours or actually get on a plane to go get gun training? Front Sight is, literally, unbeatable. The gun training provided at this firearms training school is beyond compare. Within minutes of your first self defense gun training course, you will understand what I mean. We were so impressed with the level of training we received and extremely excited to wake up every morning to get on the range. The gun training instructors were strict on gun safety and technique, but they did it in a way that was friendly and encouraging, so we didn’t feel like we had boot camp drill sergeants for instructors. The attitudes of the gun training instructors really make a difference in how much students learn, because who learns well in an environment that they don’t enjoy? Not only will you learn an intense amount of information and stay safe, there is no question about the fact that you will enjoy Front Sight.

There are so many people out there who are apprehensive about gun training. They do not want to own a gun, think that guns should be illegal and/or hate the idea of them in general. However, no matter how anti gun you may be, the fact remains that a gun can be a superior tool of self defense in a number of situations. I hate the idea of robbing a bank. But as much as I hate it and even though robbing a bank is illegal, bank robberies still happen. It is a gross thing to rape someone and I am thoroughly against it. You have heard me say it time and time again. Dr. Ignatius Piazza’s Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is the best place in the world to receive any type of gun training, whether you want shotgun training, rifle training, handgun training or automatic weapons training. I am a student of Front Sight, so I speak from first hand experience when I say there is no place like Front Sight. Before attending Front Sight, I did extensive research on gun training and on Ignatius Piazza’s school… and I was confident that this was the place for me. I believed it was the best, knew I would get the greatest gun training money could buy and was so excited to experience it for real.
My expectations were absolutely nothing compared to the gun training I received from Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza’s gun training instructors. By the end of my first four day defensive handgun training course, I felt amazing. I started out shaky, with my bullets hitting the targets all over the place. I finished up with my shots hitting exactly where I wanted them to. I started out apprehensive, feeling uncomfortable with a gun on my hip or in my hand. I finished up with a presentation so fast that it surprised myself (and my classmates) every time I did it. I started out my gun training not knowing much about what bullet placement meant. I finished my handgun training course at Front Sight with knowledge that I have been able to pass on to friends.
My friend went shooting with his brother at a shooting range. I was supposed to go with them, but couldn’t that day. I was sad because I had been excited to school them on the range with the techniques I had learned at Front Sight. I got random text message updates from my friend and he mentioned he wasn’t shooting all that well. So, naturally, I asked him to send me a picture. I received a picture message of his target a few minutes later and, based on what I saw, immediately knew his issue. I asked if he wanted my input. His response was doubtful. “You mean you’re going to give me advice based on a picture of my spread?” I imagined the smirk on his face but was confident enough in my gun training to blow it off.
“Yeah, actually.” He agreed and I immediately went on to tell him about mashing the trigger, how I knew that’s what he was doing, why people do it and how to fix it. Several minutes later I got another picture and a surprised response. His shots had already improved about fifty to sixty percent. He was impressed. The quality of Front Sight’s gun training had, yet again, been enforced. I have to admit, it is a pretty awesome feeling when you can give a gun training lesson over text message… and have it work. Needless to say, my friend and his brother are now both first family members at Front Sight.
