I had thought for a long time that getting some self defense gun training would probably be a good idea. I was no longer living with my dad, so I knew I could not rely on a big, strong man to save me if something bad were to happen at home. I was often alone, so I knew that I had no one around to protect me. My sister had a baby and I started spending a lot of time watching her. It was a scary thought to think that if the house were to be invaded while I was watching my niece I didn’t know how to protect her. Not really a thought that you want to be having while looking at a helpless, three week old baby, sleeping in your arms.
My choice had been made. I knew self defense training and gun training was going to be in my near future.

Dear Parents of Teenage Girls,
I used to be pretty confident in my self defense abilities. I have always been pretty strong, and while I had never had any formal self defense training, I knew that if I were to be attacked, I would be okay. With all of the recent news about the riots in Egypt, it puts across an interesting question. What if something like this were to happen in our country?
Let’s face it. We do not have a perfect government. As much as some people would like to think this is not true, we are not above some politician saying something unfavorable or our President doing something against our wishes. Riots have happened in America before, and they will likely happen again. Scary.
If you are a store owner or work in retail, what would you do if people started breaking windows and looting your store? When I walk into a store or a restaurant and the customer service stinks, it really puts a damper on my visit. I am stubborn and do not usually ever want to do business with that company again… and it tends to put me in a bad mood and mess with the rest of my day. It is also really annoying when employees don’t know what they are talking about. You ask a questions and they obviously fake an answer or tell you they don’t know… and don’t find someone to help. It makes me wonder why they are even there in the first place. Are you like me? Is customer service and employee knowledge important to you?
