Hi, again. Let’s take a quick review at where we are in my saga. (Random fact: If you Google “define saga” the first definition that comes up is “A long story of heroic achievement.” I kind of consider this story of my first visit to Front Sight Firearms Training Institute applicable. After all, Front Sight trains heroes.) Okay so my friend and I checked into Front Sight, the gun training instructors were epic, the lectures were incredible thus far and I was the worst shooter in the world.
One of the things about Front Sight’s gun training instructors is that they train you to not only be a perfect shooter, but they also train you to have confidence in yourself and in your shooting. Front Sight can train you to be a perfect shooter even if you are as bad as I was in the beginning. Founder and director of Front Sight, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, trained his gun training instructors well in all areas of gun training, including having exceptional customer service and a caring attitude. They work hard at helping their students embrace what they are good at in order to improve and perfect the things that they are not so good at. By encouraging a student’s strengths, that student gains a confidence that they could not have gained if the gun training instructors simply said, “We need to work on such and such.”
Ignatius Piazza’s instructors helped me find my strength: my presentation speed. What does that mean? That means that I was able to have my gun out of the holster and ready to shoot faster than some of the guys could get their hands on their guns. No kidding. This surprised me (and I think it surprised my friend, as well.) Well, my gun training instructors noticed that and they encouraged me and helped me get faster and better at presenting my weapon, so when it came time to actually shoot, I had way more time to focus and more confidence in my abilities. I was still shooting off target, but my confidence was growing and my instructors kept working with me. I felt like I was getting a private shooting lesson from a gun training instructor. But you know what? I asked around, and everyone else in my class felt the same way. Somehow, one range master and two gun training instructors made all of us students feel like we were the only kid in class. How great is that?
So why was I still shooting off target? My gun training instructors honed my skills so that I had more than enough time to aim. Have you ever heard the term “mashing the trigger?” Yeah… I was doing that. But we will go more into that later. Right now I want to tell you about one of the coolest features of Front Sight: the home invasion scenario. Yes, I literally got to walk through a house and shoot bad guys and save good guys. Did I mention that Front Sight is FUN, as well as helpful? Join me in The Chronicles of Front Sight: My Experience, Part Four to hear all about it.

I sometimes wonder if my friends ever get annoyed with me for talking about Front Sight Firearms Training Institute so much. Because, really, with me, I rarely stop talking about it. I guess it is just hard to keep something like Front Sight a secret. And, let me tell you, I am good at keeping secrets. However, when it comes to Front Sight, this is no secret. It just can’t be. You see, not only is Front Sight actually ranked the number one gun training school in the world, has incredible statistics and looks darn good on paper, it is (quite literally) a blast to attend. Attending Front Sight was one of the best vacations I have ever been on, and I am here to tell you about it. Over the next couple weeks, I want to tell you about my Front Sight Story. So, here it is… The Chronicles of Front Sight: My Experience, Part One.
I opted to take a Four Day Defensive Handgun Training Course from Ignatius Piazza’s gun training menu at Front Sight for my very first gun training course. I had only a tiny bit of shooting practice years beforehand, and it was not with a handgun. I had done a ton of research on Front Sight and Dr. Ignatius Piazza over the past couple years and was determined that Front Sight was, in fact, the best gun training school in the world and I wanted to try it out for myself, as opposed to continuing taking everyone else’s opinions. As usual, by paying attention to the Front Sight Newsletter, Ignatius Piazza’s Blog and by talking with friends, I was able to find some crazy deal that Ignatius Piazza was offering for his gun training courses. Affording Front Sight was no challenge.
I went with a friend who had attended Front Sight before, but he had taken a Two Day Defensive Gun Training Course, and this time we were going for four days. We got a hotel in Las Vegas, since Front Sight is just outside of the city, and we drove to the gun training school on the first day of class. There were hundreds of people there, who were just as expectant as we were. Short story, I got a gun strapped to my hip and we were off to the lecture hall. Within minutes, one of the gun training instructors started giving a lecture and… it was interesting! I can tend to get bored in lectures, but this guy started right off on a high note, making me think about getting into the Combat Mindset and being prepared to save lives. (For more information on the Combat Mindset, check out Front Sight for yourself!) Did you know that it is possible to save a life in 1.5 seconds? It quickly became apparent that over the next few days, we were going to learn just how to do it.

When you are considering something as important as gun training, it is crucial that you go to a really good gun training school. The way I see it, it would be irresponsible and even scary or worrisome to attend a sub par gun training school and receive less than the best gun training. I know that I, personally, would not want to rely on my abilities to save myself or protect my family if I had received training that was not complete or had not concentrated on gun safety.
At Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada (about an hour away from Las Vegas), you can receive the best gun training, knife training and self defense training that you will find, leaving you more prepared for real life.
What do I mean when I say prepared for real life? Many gun training schools will teach you how to shoot a stationary paper target. Some may teach you how to shoot moving targets, but few actually teach you how to use a gun for self defense. Founder and director of Front Sight, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, designed his gun training program to actually teach you how to use a gun in the time that you will need it most: to protect your life or the lives of your loved ones.
Sure, learning how to shoot a target may be fun and look cool at the shooting range, but, with only that kind of training, what would you do if a masked person breaks into your house in the middle of the night and starts running off with your baby? What would you do if someone comes up behind you and attacks while you are at the ATM? What would you do if someone pulled a gun out and pointed it at you?
Dr. Ignatius Piazza promises that when you receive gun training at Front Sight, you are taught the skills needed to handle these situations. Not only are you taught how to shoot accurately and quickly, but you are taught how to keep calm in dangerous situations. Through lectures, demonstrations and hands on shooting practice at Front Sight, students learn how to safely and effectively use a gun. Through real life scenario based training, students of Ignatius Piazza also learn how to respond to situations like home invasions and attacks from multiple people at once.
Gun training for real life self defense is a much better idea than simply gun training for shooting at a paper or metal target at the shooting range. Chances are, your attacker or perpetrator is not going to stand still and wear a sweatshirt that looks like a dart board. It would be nice, but let’s face it: that’s not real life. In real life, you are going to need to act quickly, smartly and safely in order to keep yourself and your loved ones as safe as possible. The gun training courses at Front Sight, like defensive handgun training and shotgun training, will teach you what you need to know and how you need to know it to keep yourself and your family safe.

Gun training at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute from Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza is more than just self defense training. In the gun training courses at Front Sight, students learn self defense, yes, but Ignatius Piazza takes it a few steps further. Guns can be an incredible tool of self defense, but there is more to it than just knowing how to shoot.
Many gun training schools will teach students how to use a gun for self defense. They may even go as far as teach you how to pick out the gun that is best for you. But do they teach how to prevent using a gun in the first place? Do they teach how to keep the people around you as safe as possible? Do they teach you everything else that goes into using a gun? Will they tell you that if you have to shoot a person as an act of self defense, you will likely have legal and emotional ramifications to face?
Founder and director of Front Sight, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, does not treat gun training like a cake walk. He does not take it lightly. He takes his gun training extremely seriously, and makes sure to train his students in EVERY aspect of the gun training world, from way before the threat even occurs to dealing with law enforcement and the judicial system to emotional side effects and familial consequences.
Many people look at a gun training school and think it is overdoing it or teaching people that guns are a cure all for crime. Front Sight is different than most gun training schools out there. Front Sight Firearms Training Institute teaches that guns should only be used in certain situations. The gun training instructors teach students HOW TO GET OUT OF USING A GUN. There are times and situations that a person can diffuse an attack through actions other than pulling out a gun. Ignatius Piazza’s gun training program at Front Sight thoroughly trains students in this area.
Front Sight also prepares students to know their limits and to know beforehand what their lines are. This means that by the time a student finishes a gun training course at Front Sight, he or she will have a better idea at what line needs to be crossed in order to present the weapon for self defense. This is an important area because should you have to use a gun, you do not want to regret it. You need to know that you are doing the right thing at the right time. Front Sight helps students reach their own personal conclusions.
After using a gun for self defense, there are things that are likely to happen. Police will probably be showing up. Front Sight teaches students how to talk to the police, how to act in order to make the questioning go as smoothly as possible, and yes, how to get arrested (because this might happen… again, you need to KNOW that using your gun was the right decision for you.) In addition to police, you may have to deal with judges and lawyers. Front Sight goes into this, as well, and teaches students how to pick a lawyer and what can be done to help you through the judicial process.
Most importantly, Front Sight emphasizes that you are going to have to live with your decisions of whether to shoot or whether to not shoot. Not only will you have to live with these decisions, your loved ones will, as well. Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight take this to heart and help prepare students for the emotional consequences in several ways, including briefing students on what will likely occur mentally and during future conversations with loved ones.
Front Sight Firearms Training Institute offers more than just classes on how to use a gun. They offer the most complete gun training you can find.

Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, is a firm believer in the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. Many people across America have conflicting views on this Amendment. Some love it. Some hate it. Some think it is okay but just not for them. Some are indifferent. Some are afraid of it. Some think it should go away and some think it should stay. I wonder why people want to do away with the Second Amendment. Why would we want to take away such a strong tool of self defense? Why would we want to put ourselves at risk?
Sure, at face value, the Pro Gun Control argument sounds awesome. “Getting rid of guns will reduce crime and keep us safer.” Who doesn’t want to be safer? I know I would love to live in a place with zero crime and not have to worry about walking down the street late at night, clutching my purse against me and looking over my shoulder to make sure I am not being followed. That would be great! But is getting rid of guns really going to get me to that place? If it can, I would really like to see how.
“If guns are outlawed, there won’t be any risk of getting shot, because people will not own them.” Can the owners of this argument please explain to me why I have seen people waste away in front of me due to drugs? I cannot understand how that happened. I also do not understand why parents worry about their children getting wrapped up in drug use. Drugs are illegal. People “shouldn’t” be about to get a hold of them if they are illegal… much like guns, right?
I don’t know about you, but I refuse to be naïve and believe that these gun control advocates have the right idea. Bad guys are going to break the law. If guns are outlawed, why would that stop them from getting a hold of them? All it will do is put us at risk, because our attackers will have guns and we will have something less powerful or effective.
Yes, guns in untrained hands are dangerous. But guns in well trained hands provide a great avenue for self defense and family protection. What we should be focusing on is getting people gun training instead of taking away a means of protection. Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada, offers the greatest gun training in the world and can be affordable for almost every budget. Ignatius Piazza has worked hard to offer the best quality gun training and to offer it to people of every income level. Lots of gun training is expensive. Front Sight makes it possible for people with normal jobs (like myself) to get better gun training than even the most expensive places out there.
The Second Amendment grants us the right to bear arms… but along with that right comes responsibility. Front Sight will help you make the responsible decision of getting gun training and getting your family trained. Let’s do our part to keep America safe. Let’s get gun training and really know how to use a gun for self defense, instead of just owning one because we can.

Some people ask me how or why I keep talking about Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. They hear about what an advocate I am and look up my name on the Internet and then are baffled at how much I write about the gun training school. They wonder that… but I wonder the opposite. Why would I WANT to shut up about Front Sight Firearms Training Institute? Even if I wanted to, how could I?
Think about the things that are most important to you. Your new relationship, your kids, your job, your favorite hobby. How much do you talk about them? My friends know that I do not ever stop telling stories about my family. My coworkers hear all about my boyfriend. Likewise, my boyfriend is probably annoyed at how much I rave about my job and my coworkers. These are the things that are important to me. But there is another thing that I have found extremely important, and that is Dr. Ignatius Piazza’s Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. It is a place where people from all walks of life, all ages and both genders can go to procure the best self defense training and gun training in the world, preparing them for situations where self defense will be needed in real life. Front Sight is a place where it does not matter how much experience in self defense training or gun training you have or do not have… after your first self defense gun training course with Ignatius Piazza, you will have better shooting skills, swifter gun handling abilities and more knowledge of gun safety than ninety nine percent of the gun owning population.
The truth is, is that the reason I do not stop talking about Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is because I BELIEVE IN FRONT SIGHT. I am a student of Front Sight, myself, and an owner of a First Family Lifetime Membership. I have researched Front Sight and Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza for years and have found nothing I did not adore. After I attended my first gun training course at Front Sight, I was an even stronger supporter of Ignatius Piazza and his philanthropic goal to make the world a safer place.
There is no one that is forcing me to keep talking about it and typing about it. Believe me, if I didn’t believe in Front Sight, and if I didn’t think that this was the greatest place in the world to get gun training, and if I didn’t truly feel that Front Sight can change lives, I would not say what I say and write what I write. Front Sight changed my life and I believe, wholeheartedly, that it can change the lives of anyone who takes the leap and tries Front Sight out for themselves. It is not even a risky leap… Ignatius Piazza guarantees your first self defense gun training course at Front Sight with his personal money back policy. Front Sight is definitely worth a shot.

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, a gun training school in Pahrump, Nevada founded by Dr. Ignatius Piazza, changed my life. About an hour outside of Las Vegas, Front Sight rests on a plot of land that spans about five hundred fifty acres. We drove down the dirt road and went through the front gates, pretty interested to see what was about to happen. I knew Front Sight was going to be cool. I had done research on it for, literally, years, and had finally made the decision to get myself out to take a Four Day Defensive Handgun Training Course. I was with a friend, and we were excited. From my research, Front Sight had appeared to be an effective gun training school that focused on gun safety, balancing shooting speed with accuracy, self defense training for real life scenarios and learning a lot while having fun. Needless to say, my expectations were pretty high.
I got my belt on and my holster strapped to my belt and then the guy helping me put my gun in my holster. I guess you could say I felt kind of cool while we walked to the lecture hall. I mean, I was a chick with a gun on my hip. But then again, I felt totally intimidated. I had never carried a gun before. I didn’t even know how to load it. We sat down in the Front Sight lecture hall. Looking around, it was apparent that we were two of the youngest people there. There was a huge variety of ages, sizes, types of look, accents, men and women… but I felt even more intimidated then, noticing that I was definitely one of the smallest females in the room.
A man got up to the front of the room and started talking. I was hooked on what he was saying. Before I knew it, the lecture was over and we were about to go to the gun training shooting range. Is it weird that I was so interested in the lecture that I wanted to stay and listen to the guy talk some more? I quickly found that that thought process became familiar, as the lectures at Front Sight are absolutely extraordinary.
Over the next few days, Ignatius Piazza’s team of gun training instructors took me from scared and apprehensive to confident and competent. They taught me anything and everything I could imagine about gun training and then taught me things I never would have even thought about. Ignatius Piazza’s curriculum at Front Sight is amazing! In just four days, I went from not even being able to load a gun to being able to diagnose and clear a type three malfunction in under six seconds. I went from not knowing how to hold a gun to being able to present my weapon faster than most of the people in my class. I went from being afraid to shoot to being able to hit a target spot on. I learned that it didn’t matter how small I am or how little experience I had previously had. I can be just as fast, just as good and just as effective with a gun as the buff, more experienced shooters. Front Sight works.
At the end of my four day gun training course at Front Sight, I thought about what I had previously learned about Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza. Let me tell you, I had HIGH EXPECATIONS. Those expectations were nothing compared to what I experienced at Front Sight. Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is truly a place that you have to see to believe.

What makes Front Sight Firearms Training Institute the best gun training school in the world? Well, there are a lot of factors that go into it. A mix of the most innovated and proven curriculum, dedicated gun training instructors, a director with a philanthropic heart, a staff that actually cares and students that make it all worth while blend together to create the perfect recipe for a gun training school that can change and save lives.
Founder and Director, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, attended a bunch of gun training schools before creating Front Sight. He studied a lot and trained very hard, putting in thousands upon thousands of hours of shooting practice and research, designing what he saw as the perfect gun training school. While attending gun training courses across the nation, Ignatius Piazza noticed that some gun training schools excelled in one area but lacked in others. Pretty much every gun training school he came across had both strengths and weaknesses. But what would happen if there were a gun training school with only strengths? Front Sight Firearms Training Institute combines what Ignatius Piazza saw as the strengths of each of these schools, and leaves out the weaknesses, creating that dream gun training school. As a student of Front Sight, when I am asked what the best part of my first self defense handgun training course was, I usually answer quite honestly. “Everything.”
The gun training instructors at Front Sight are truly dedicated. That first day of my first course, I showed little to no promise. I was one of the worse shooters in my class. My instructors did not neglect me. In fact, they gave me just as much attention as everyone else, working with me and explaining things to me, staying after class to answer my questions and walking me through the difficult tasks every step of the way. By the end of my first Front Sight course, I really felt as if I had learned invaluable information. On top of that, I could shoot a target exactly where I aimed. That’s a big improvement over just a few days’ time, especially when on day one I was rarely even hitting my target at all.
Dr. Ignatius Piazza and his staff members are all extremely knowledgeable and caring. Not only does Ignatius Piazza actively participate in charities and run his own philanthropic organization, he cares about his students and really wants them to be safe and successful. His team members are all educated in the field of gun training and answer all questions quickly, fully and patiently. The staff members at Front Sight really made me feel comfortable and more like a friend than a customer, making my learning curve grow stronger.
Thanks to the testimonials and personal recommendations from students of Front Sight, the gun training school has been able to grow to a level of enormous stature. It is recognized as the number one gun training school in the world and has kept that title for several years. To completely understand the pure awesomeness that is Front Sight, you’ve got to check it out for yourself. Go ahead and see it, then tell me how much you agree!

In 1988, a successful chiropractor had his life twist turned upside down. His business was doing well and he had a family to love and protect. He worked hard at everything he did, and as a result, he seemed to have the Midas touch. But then suddenly, in the stillness of the night, his world was ripped into by a few flying bullets. It was that night that the random drive by shooting shook Dr. Ignatius Piazza’s world. He was hit, luckily not physically with bullets, but those bullets struck deep inside his psyche and hit a nerve that opened his eyes to a realization that will sit with him for a lifetime.
At the time, Ignatius Piazza owned guns and knew how to use them. He was a pretty good shot and knew how to handle a gun safely. But the realization that he came to was that his guns were useless… because he did not know how to use them in a life threatening situation. He did not know how to use a gun to save his family. He did not know how to use a gun to save his own life. Basically, he knew how to use a gun except in the one time that it was actually important: to defend a life.
He began studying about self defense and guns and began getting some gun training. He found it difficult to find a gun training school that was really, really good, though. Some gun training schools had this, but they lacked that. Some had that, but they lacked this. Some just didn’t have this or that. But somehow, through hard work, time, research and a ton of dedication, Ignatius Piazza got the gun training he needed to be proficient. He knew how to effectively use a gun for self defense. Since Ignatius Piazza had done a huge amount of gun training and shooting practice, he knew the work that would be required of someone if that person wanted to get the same level of gun training he had. Given the sub par gun training schools that were out there, it was going to be difficult for just about anyone. He also worried that people would attend a gun training school that claimed to be “good” and they would end up with so-so gun training. Or worse, what if they ended up with ineffective gun training? That would leave them THINKING they had been trained well… thus, putting them in danger. Ignatius Piazza did not like this thought. So, the philanthropist decided that he wanted to pave the way for others and make it easier to secure the most effective gun training around.
He trained more and more and ended up earning himself a Four Weapons Combat Master Certificate, meaning he was, quite literally, one of the best shooters in the world. And then, in 1996, Ignatius Piazza opened the doors to his very own gun training school, called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, where people could go to get the best gun training they could possibly find. Today, Front Sight offers tens of thousands of students levels of gun training that surpass the levels of military and law enforcement training. Once you attend a Front Sight gun training course, you will realize that Front Sight is better than the other gun training schools out there. Simply put, Front Sight has this AND that.

Do you own a business? Why did you start your own company? Many people start companies so that they can be free of a designated schedule and have unlimited income potential. Some people go into business for themselves because they feel they do not want to work under a boss’s supervision or micromanaging. Others start up businesses so they can work from the comfort of their own homes, not have to sit in hours of traffic and can have more time with their families.
Dr. Ignatius Piazza started his own company to change the world.
He used to have a very different type of business, which was extremely successful and helped change lives. He is a former chiropractor and he ran a very fruitful chiropractic practice, until one day when he decided that he wanted to change the world and make a difference in a new, exciting and very powerful way.
Ignatius Piazza opened his own gun training school.
This gun training school is called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute and is now located just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. When it opened, Front Sight was located in California, had just a few students and Ignatius Piazza taught a handgun training course. This was April of 1996.
The gun training course went over well with his students and they told their friends and family members about Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight. Students returned and more students joined the gun training course. Word spread again and Front Sight began to grow. Over the next few years, Front Sight’s attendance skyrocketed. It at least doubled in size each year, and has done the same every single year after. To date, Front Sight’s doors have been opened for fifteen years and has kept the same trend. It is notably the best gun training school in the world, offers a few hundred gun training courses a year and trains thousands of students over the course of a year. In his gun training courses, Ignatius Piazza and his team of highly skilled professional gun training instructors teach everything a student needs to know about safely and effectively using a firearm, focusing on gun safety and learning the balance of speed and accuracy in a situation where self defense is needed.
The self defense gun training courses at Front Sight train students not only how to safely use a gun, but how to avoid having to use it in the first place. The courses also teach students how to remain calm in stressful situations, and everything else they will need to know about using their gun, from the very beginning to the very end. Many gun training schools will teach students how to shoot from beginning (presenting their weapon) to end (getting the gun back in the holster). But Ignatius Piazza seriously starts at the VERY beginning (before the threat even occurs) to the VERY end (the emotional and legal consequences of using a gun).
This has prepared students for the real world in a truly recognizable way. Ignatius Piazza has succeeded in changing lives and changing the world for the better, and constantly aims to continue doing so.
