Got Questions About Gun Training?

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

If you have made the decision to learn self defense, you have probably got some questions. Where should I go? How much will it cost? What kind of self defense training should I get? I have been advised to get gun training, but guns kind of freak me out. Why should I get trained in how to use a gun?

These questions are totally understandable. Let’s start with the types of self defense training. You can defend yourself with weapons or without weapons. Popular forms of self defense training are gun training, knife training and empty hands self defense training, such as martial arts. Each form of self defense training is useful in different situations.

Gun training is extremely beneficial at home and in most public settings. Having a concealed carry weapons permit is a wonderful buddy to great gun training, because since you will have your gun on your person, you will be able to use it for self defense and family protection no matter where you are. If a perpetrator were to enter your house, having a gun is a safe alternative to a knife or your hands because you do not have to be close to the other person in order to protect your family, your home and yourself. Also, many criminals who break into homes carry guns. If you have a gun as well, and are able to safely and effectively handle it, you will be more prepared to guard yourself than if you had some other weapon or no weapon at all. Gun training is a very smart choice.

Knife training is a great self defense training option if you are planning on being in places where guns are not legally allowed, but knives are. Having a knife and being able to safely use it will give you a leg up when you can’t have your gun. Receiving knife training in addition to your gun training will keep you safe in even more places.

Empty hands self defense training is wonderful because there are places that neither guns nor knives are allowed, but dangerous situations still occur. Places like high schools, airplanes and government buildings don’t allow weapons of any kind, but we are well aware that attacks still happen. However, having good empty hands self defense training will help you ward off attackers and keep yourself safe.

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is the best place to receive any of these types of self defense training. For the law abiding citizens that want more out of life, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is there to help. Front Sight will help citizens from all over the globe secure themselves more confidence and the serenity that comes with the comfort of skill at arms. Average, everyday ordinary people have the ability to become extraordinary, life saving powerhouses, and Front Sight will provide all of the information needed to achieve such greatness. Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute planned out his self defense gun training program carefully to ensure his students that they are receiving the best quality gun training available. Lectures, demonstrations and hands on gun training combine together at Front Sight to create a brilliant blend that helps students learn and retain the most information possible. Ignatius Piazza brings balance to the shooting range, by including everything in Front Sight’s training, not just the main ideas. So what information is included in a Front Sight gun training course? Let me put it this way: if you have ever had a question about guns, gun safety or gun training of any kind, you can find your answers at Front Sight.

Ignatius Piazza provides COMPLETE gun training. He is not just going to show students how to shoot, like the instructors do at most other gun training schools. Front Sight is different. Front Sight instructors teach how to shoot, when to shoot, when NOT to shoot, why to shoot, where to shoot, what to do before and after you shoot and even how to avoid having to shoot. Literally, everything is covered at Front Sight. Front Sight’s curriculum focuses on safety, making even first time shooters completely comfortable with their weapons.

Tactical gun training at Front Sight goes beyond target shooting practice. Front Sight instructors arrange safe and supervised real life scenarios, that allow students to have the chance to feel what it would be like to be attacked on the street or in their homes. This trains students better than just telling them how to handle each situation. If an attack were to happen in their lives, having been through the motions before, Front Sight students are better prepared to escape. In these hands on training sessions, students not only learn how to handle their weapons, but they learn how to disarm an attacker, how to use their own bodies as self defense weapons, how to shoot and hit a moving target and how to handle multiple attackers at once. Front Sight students are better prepared for the real world than students of other gun training schools.

Front Sight helps students get more out of life. No longer will they live in fear or be paranoid that they are going to get attacked. Men will not have to fear for their families. Women will feel comfortable walking to their cars alone, even late at night. Teens will grow up more confident, less likely to fall to peer pressure and be able to protect themselves and their soon to be families. When the fear, worry and stress can be left in the past, life can become a beautiful and fulfilling thing.
