Founded and directed by former chiropractor, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, Front Sight has successfully trained huge numbers of people, making their lives safer and more comfortable. Ignatius Piazza, a husband and a father, knows the importance of self defense and family protection. Keeping his family safe is extremely important to him, and he knows that many people feel the same way. Ignatius Piazza designed Front Sight with families in mind. The idea for Front Sight actually started when he was thrown into a life threating situation where his family was in severe danger, and he sadly realized that he did not have the skills he needed to protect them. Luckily, neither Ignatius Piazza nor any of his family members were injured, but the thought of what could have happened stayed with him. He promised to change that and to learn the self defense and gun training skills and the family protection techniques he needed to keep himself and his family away from danger. He started training profusely, and after years and years of intense practice and expert gun training, Ignatius Piazza was finally skilled enough to earn his Four Weapons Combat Master Certificate. But he did not feel it fair to have all of this incredible knowledge of gun training and fail to pass it along. This is when Front Sight Firearms Training Institute came into his sight. Ignatius Piazza wanted to spread his gun training knowledge to as many people as possible. He started small with that little group of people, and because his gun training was so extraordinary, his company quickly grew.

Ignatius Piazza also focuses on the Front Sight Family. The Front Sight family is tightly knit, and students quickly realize this. They do not get thrown into a gun training class with a bunch of high and mighty gun training instructors. Students of Front Sight are automatically welcomed as one of the family, being treated fairly and with respect. Ignatius Piazza works hard to keep this family atmosphere, and it definitely shows.
