If you have been considering getting yourself some gun training, look no further. I have got the perfect gun training school for you. Yes, you, no matter who you happen to be. Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, the excellent gun training school in Pahrump, Nevada (just about an hour outside of Las Vegas) offers gun training of all kinds and other self defense training courses to people from all walks of life, professions and levels of gun training experience.
Founder and director, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, offers several different gun training courses such as Self Defense Handgun Training Courses, Tactical Shotgun Training Courses, Practical Rifle Training Courses, Automatic Weapons Training Courses and various skill building gun training courses, to name just a few. Basically, no matter what type of gun you want to learn how to use, Front Sight has got a course for you. And just so you are aware, these gun training courses are extremely dynamic in the specific types of guns you can learn how to use. In my first self defense handgun training course at Front Sight, some students rented guns from Ignatius Piazza, while other students brought their own. There were several different types of guns used in my course, and the gun training instructors knew how to use and manipulate each and every one of them. Every time a new technique was taught, they taught it for every gun. I rented a Glock from Ignatius Piazza. Someone else had brought a 1911 pistol. Someone else brought a left handed revolver. Our instructors taught us all how to safely shoot each one.
Front Sight Firearms Training Institute provides superior gun training to people from so many different professions. My gun training course at Front Sight included writers, computer programmers, police officers, military personnel and even an instructor from another gun training school. (If THAT doesn’t tell you how good Front Sight is, I don’t know what will!) It did not matter what anyone did for a living. We were just all there to learn how to use a gun for self defense or learn how to perfect the shooting skills we already had. Front Sight is a great place for anyone, no matter what their background may be.
Also, Front Sight offers wonderful gun training at all levels. For example, I was a first time student of Front Sight. I had no professional training and had shot a gun once in my life, and it wasn’t even a handgun. There were Front Sight repeat students in my class, and then there were students like the man I mentioned earlier… the instructor at the other gun training school. And you know what? We ALL learned. I spoke with that instructor and he told me he learned stuff from Front Sight that he had never even thought of before. I learned so many useful things from Ignatius Piazza’s gun training program at Front Sight. No matter what your current level of gun training is, Front Sight has a course for you!

“There were police cars everywhere. One of the officers came on the megaphone and announced that there was a dude roaming the neighborhood who was armed and dangerous. I was home alone…”
My coworker proceeded to tell me the story of her experience over the weekend. Luckily, she wasn’t hurt, but I think I freaked her out at my question. “What would you have done if the guy came to your door or tried to get into your house?”
My officemates continued sharing frightening stories of our experiences from the past with armed men, potential burglars and police searches of neighborhoods. It is awful just how often we are put into situations that could require some serious self defense skills. I wrapped up the conversation by talking about my gun training from Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, at his intense gun training school in Nevada called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Someone said, “Yeah, well I wouldn’t want to shoot a guy.”
I responded with, “Neither would I… but if it came down to it and I had to defend myself or protect my family… that’s the time that I would be blasted happy I had the gun training that I had.” I went on to explain that Front Sight trains students how to use a gun for self defense, but that the gun training school also trains students how to avoid needing to use the gun in the first place. The gun training instructors at Front Sight teach that a gun should only be used if there is no other solution or way out of the situation. They teach real self defense skills at Front Sight, not just how to shoot a gun.
I thought a lot about the situation that my coworker had described. I thought about what I would do if I were to be in her shoes. Then I thought about the difference between me before my Front Sight gun training and me now, after being trained by Ignatius Piazza’s professional gun training instructors. I am much more confident and comfortable with how I would handle a similar situation now, to say the least.
Front Sight offers the world’s best gun training that money can buy. In just a few days, any student of Front Sight can have shooting skills that surpass ninety nine percent of the gun owning population. Those few days with Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight can change any student, even complete beginners, into someone who can shoot better than someone that shoots guns for a living. Ignatius Piazza can make big changes in anyone’s life, including beginner shooters and well advanced and experienced marksmen. He made huge, unbelievable changes in mine, and I am so grateful for it.
Think back to the story about my coworker’s weekend. What would you do if you were in her shoes? If you do not know, or if you are uncomfortable with your answer, maybe it is time that you contact Dr. Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight and change it.

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, the awesome gun training school in Pahrump, Nevada (just about an hour outside of Las Vegas) is more than just a gun training school. It is more than just a place where you can learn how to be a great shooter. Front Sight is a place where regular people can go and change their lives. When it comes to gun training and learning how to use a gun for self defense, people do not have to be rich or have tons of experience in shooting to succeed at Front Sight. Heck, they will be perfectly fine with NO TRAINING WHATSOEVER because Front Sight will provide all of the gun training that anyone could need.
Dr. Ignatius Piazza and his team of highly trained gun training instructors teach not only how to use a gun for self defense, but how to avoid using a gun in the first place. They train students to adequately defend themselves without the use of a weapon, only using a gun as an absolute necessity. Students of Front Sight will also be mentally prepared for the effects of using a gun: physically and mentally. At Front Sight, I learned what it means to be in the Combat Mindset. I learned how to decide what my limits are and what to do before and after reaching them. Ignatius Piazza and the Front Sight instructors taught me taught me that my life will change if I need to use a gun for self defense, what to expect and how to handle each situation. Their guidance goes way beyond that of a normal gun training school. Front Sight doesn’t just teach you about shooting. Front Sight teaches you about life.
I learned the Color Code of Mental Awareness from Ignatius Piazza’s gun training program. I learned how to be aware… always… no matter where I am or what I am doing. Being fully aware of your surroundings will protect you because you will be more able to know when a threat is going to occur. Now, when I walk to my car or down the street, I know how to be aware of what is going on around me, such as where people are standing in the parking lot and what they are doing. Being attacked by someone you see coming is a lot different than being attacked when you have no idea what is going on. The more aware you are, the more reaction time you have. The more reaction time you have, the greater your chance of escape. Front Sight teaches you that true self defense goes beyond the barrel of a gun.
Most of all, though, was what happened to my confidence level during my stay at Front Sight. Learning that I can protect myself (and learning that I can protect myself from someone more than twice my size), learning a skill that can save lives (and it’s a skill that is pretty awesome at the same time), and learning that I don’t have to live my life scared or in a paranoid manner… these things all raised my confidence level in myself as a person. I know I no longer have to be afraid of walking to my car at night or living alone. I know that I will be able to protect my kids when I have a family. I know that no one can have power over me that I cannot overcome… Front Sight doesn’t just offer great gun training. Front Sight offered me a better life. And I took it. What about you?

When I shot the bad guys that were holding my hostage during the hostage situations scenario at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, I hit the bad guys dead on. Literally, I could not see my bullet hole at first because the front sight of my gun was blocking my view. How in the world did I accomplish this? ESPECIALLY when, on the first day of my first self defense gun training course at Front Sight, I barely ever even hit my target at all? I had classified myself as the worst shooter in the world (or at least one of them) and now I was being 100% accurate? What? HOW did this happen?
There is this thing that about ninety five percent of the gun using population do, and it is a mistake that can critically affect the accuracy of shooting. My gun training at Front Sight from Four Weapons Combat Master Dr. Ignatius Piazza and his team of professional gun training instructors taught me how to recognize it, why we do it AND how to fix it.
In fact, my gun training at Front Sight was so good, that I actually learned how to recognize when people do this without even seeing them shoot. That’s right… I can now just look at the placement of someone’s bullets and know if they are doing this… all because of my gun training from Ignatius Piazza’s gun training instructors at Front Sight.
On the first day of my gun training at Front Sight, I did not understand that concept of “mashing the trigger” or a “surprise break.” I had no idea what it meant when someone said those things. But over the next couple days, my Front Sight gun training instructors taught me what those words meant and how much it could actually affect my shooting. When I first got that real surprise break, I was amazed at the accuracy of my shot. I almost thought it was an accident… and then I did it again. And again. And again.
The Front Sight gun training instructors do not teach you how to be a “good” shooter. They teach you how to be a PERFECT shooter. The change in my shooting (in just four days) is mind boggling and almost unbelievable. I don’t know if I would have actually believed it could happen to me until I saw it for myself. Let it be known that Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is the best fun training school in the whole world. If Dr. Ignatius Piazza and his gun training instructors at Front Sight can make ME able to shoot as well as I did on my last day of my first self defense gun training course, they can help you.
BUT… Front Sight does more than just turn regular people into people that can shoot better than professional shooters like police officers. It changed my whole outlook on life and feelings about myself. Come with me, one more time, into The Chronicles of Front Sight: My Experience, The Final Chapter, and see why Front Sight is so much more than just a gun training school.

What do you learn at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute?
You learn more than just how to shoot a gun; that is for sure.
The things taught at Front Sight far surpass the curriculum at other gun training schools. Dr. Ignatius Piazza, founder and director of Front Sight, wanted to make sure that at Front Sight, you will get the best and most complete gun training you can find. Unlike other gun training schools, you will walk away from Front Sight a different person: more confident, more aware and a better shooter than you ever thought you could become, even with years and years of practice… and you will achieve this all in a few short days. It may sound too good to be true, but before your first day of gun training at Front Sight has completed, you will understand.
Front Sight Firearms Training Institute first and foremost concentrates on gun safety. Front Sight is focused on keeping you and your loved ones safe, so Ignatius Piazza’s gun training courses are incredibly safe. The gun training instructors will teach you how to handle a gun properly and how to increase your safety while holding it. During my first self defense gun training course, I felt safe one hundred percent of the time. I went to a shooting range after attending Front Sight and immediately noticed that barely anyone knew the first thing about gun safety. I was on edge for most of the time spent there, due to how these people were carrying themselves and carrying their weapons. You will be glad to know that the practices of Front Sight’s staff will make you feel comfortable, and teach you how to be safe, during and after your gun training.
During a typical day of gun training at Front Sight, you will experience many things, including hands on tactical gun training, watching shooting demonstrations and listening to gun training lectures. Wait, lectures? Before you argue and say that lectures are boring, you should know that Ignatius Piazza’s staff members will give lectures that will get you thinking and prepare your mind for what you are about to learn. You will gain a new perspective on gun training, the use of guns for self defense and the life that comes along with it. You will learn not only riveting things about guns and gun training, but you will also learn how to AVOID using a gun in the first place. Front Sight emphasizes the fact that you only want to use a gun if it is your last and only option. I found it quite enjoyable and refreshing to learn different self defense techniques that I could use before presenting my weapon. I also found it interesting to learn about the combat mindset, the emotional side effects of using a gun and how to deal with the legal aspects of having to shoot a gun.
Many people hear that Front Sight includes lectures and they immediately shy away from the gun training course. But let me tell you, I think that the lectures may have been my favorite part of my gun training at Front Sight. I was so impressed and eager to keep learning, because Ignatius Piazza expanded my idea of gun training and made me realize that gun training is more than just learning how to shoot a gun. Front Sight really is the most complete gun training I have found.

Training almost fifty thousand students in the span of a year, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute ranks number one in the gun training industry throughout the world. Founder and director, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, has spent much time, effort and funds to create the best gun training school in the world. Today, Front Sight is a place where people can come together and take self defense gun training courses, practice competitive shooting and learn combat gun use. The wide variety of gun training courses include all levels of gun training, so every student can feel comfortable in his or her own gun training class.
Ignatius Piazza designed his gun training program at Front Sight to emulate the best qualities of the gun training schools where he trained, but to leave out the negative aspects and anything else that was less than great. Thus, Ignatius Piazza ended up with Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, a perfect blend of all of the good and none of the bad. Front Sight’s gun training courses cover all types of learning styles, as to cater to many different types of people.
Audio learners get to listen to and participate in active lectures pertaining to gun training, gun safety, the legal side of gun use, The Combat Mindset, The Color Code of Mental Awareness and much, much more. Visual learners appreciate that the gun training instructors at Front Sight demonstrate each exercise and idea thoroughly and repetitively, so the students can see how each drill is carried out. In addition to seeing the correct way to use a gun, the Front Sight gun training instructors will also show how NOT to use a gun. (But don’t worry; they clearly explain when they are showing what not to do!) And of course, kinesthetic learners like myself get to participate in hands on tactical gun training such as stationary target practice, shooting a moving target, diagnosing and fixing gun malfunctions, night gun training, home invasion scenarios and even a shooting competition among other Front Sight students. Each type of learning style is emphasized in the gun training courses. This greatly increases the amount of information that is stored in each Front Sight student, which increases the effectiveness of the course itself.
I don’t know about you, but I find much more value in a gun training course (or any course, for that matter) from which I actually retain a lot of information, as opposed to a course where I only learn things to store in short term memory. The gun training courses at Front Sight are created to be stored in your long term memory… meaning that the information will be more readily at hand when you need it.
It is no wonder that Front Sight trains almost fifty thousand students in a year and is constantly growing. Every year, more and more students attend Front Sight… this is no coincidence. As soon as you attend your first gun training course with Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight, you will truly see and understand why.

In regards to gun training, you may have heard of the fifty percent rule. In a situation where self defense or family protection is needed, you will only be about fifty percent as accurate as your best day on the shooting range. Basically, that means you are going to be a bit slower and your bullets are going to hit further away from your exact target. If, on your best day, you hit about four inches away from your target, adjust that by fifty percent. Now you are going to be about six inches away. When it comes to small amounts like that, the extra two inches doesn’t really seem like that big of a deal. But what if the bad guy has a gun to your sister’s head and is holding her up as a human shield? If you miss his head, you may have just hit your sister. Are you okay with that?
In stressful and life threatening situations, your brain reacts differently than in calm and controlled situations. While shooting targets at the shooting range, you have all the time in the world. When someone has a gun to your sister’s head, the seconds count. You need to be able to remain calm and keep your cool in these situations, so that your self defense mechanism will be more accurate, quicker, smoother and thus, more effective.
Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute wants to give you the training you need to be able to keep your mind and hand steady, even in these horrifying situations. The gun training courses at Front Sight concentrate on gun safety, and teach how to use a gun for self defense and family protection in actual life threatening situations. Throughout your gun training course, you will hear interesting lectures, watch entertaining shooting demonstrations and practice hands on tactical gun training, performing drills and exercises repetitively until they are second nature to you. This repetition may sound boring, but the gun training instructors at Front Sight keep things exciting and fun, so the class never drags or feels stale. You will interact with other people and will get the chance to participate in scenario based training. You will learn what it feels like to be in a threatening situation, so if you should ever have to endure one for real, your response will come more naturally, since you have technically already been there and done that.
The idea of Ignatius Piazza’s dream for Front Sight is not to make you a good shooter. The idea is to make you a perfect shooter, so that the fifty percent rule need not affect you too much. If you are constantly hitting your target spot on, or even a couple centimeters away, even if you include that fifty percent decrease in accuracy, you are still doing pretty well when it comes to accuracy. Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight will train you to be the best shooter you can be, guaranteed.

I told you that Front Sight Firearms Training Institute offers competitive gun training. Do I mean that Front Sight’s rates are competitive against other gun training schools? Well, of course they are… but that’s not what I am talking about here. Do I mean that Front Sight’s gun training is way better than any other gun training school in the world? Sure it is… but that is not what I am talking about here either. I am talking about actual competitive gun training… as in gun training for competitive shooting.
In my first Four Day Defensive Handgun Training Course at Front Sight, I got to participate in a shooting competition. Many people will think that this just is not necessary; that it is training to shoot for sport rather than self defense. I thought that at first, too. But let me explain something to you.
You stand on the firing line with one other person. You each have a certain number of targets to shoot, all placed at various distances. Your goal is to knock all of the targets down before the other guy does. Sounds simple enough, right? But then you realize that you have got about twenty or so other people watching you, including three Front Sight gun training instructors that are standing almost over your shoulder, calling the shots and announcing winners… and the NOT winners. If THAT doesn’t teach you how to shoot quickly AND effectively while under stress, I don’t know what does.
Up to this point in my Front Sight gun training from Dr. Ignatius Piazza, I had only had to compete against myself. Add another person to the mix and it surely changes things. Unfortunately, I let my nerves get to me and ended up getting creamed… but it taught me a giant lesson. SHOOTING WHILE UNDER STRESS GREATLY CHANGES EVERYTHING.
I was stressed and nervous, so my presentation speed slowed, leaving me less time to beat the other guy to the shots. My hands were shaking, so my accuracy suffered, leaving me to miss my targets. I watched the other guy’s targets fall on every perfect shot, increasing my stress level and decreasing my focus. What if it had been a real gunfight? My presentation speed was slowed, leaving the bad guy more time to take me down. My accuracy was off, giving the bad guy more chances to get me. He was calm and his shots were perfect, which could have been the shots to hit me.
Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight opened my eyes to what real life self defense shooting involves. I learned first hand the way it feels to be in a gunfight, while in a safe and controlled environment, so if it were to happen in real life, I will be way more prepared than I would have been without this shooting competition. Over the rest of my gun training course, my Front Sight instructors helped me gain and keep focus, increase my confidence and reduce my stress level, so, by the end of my four days at Front Sight, my hands were firm and steady.
THAT, my friends, was severely helpful… especially in the personalized hostage situation at the end of the course… I just might feel like talking about that in The Chronicles of Front Sight: My Experience, Part Nine.

I stood on the firing line at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, waiting for the drill to start. I was about to find out how it felt to be attacked by more than one person at once. I did not know whether it was going to be two people, three people or four people. I did not know where they would be coming from or exactly which direction I was going to have to shoot. I did not know which ones were going to be stopped by a designated pair to the thoracic cavity and which ones were going to need a shot to the head, if any at all. All I knew was that I was going to have to figure out a way to stop them all.
I thought back to the lecture that the Front Sight gun training instructors had given, and the demonstrations they had done regarding multiple attackers. With a line of people watching me, I felt a bit nervous but I was going to do my best. Over the next few minutes, my shooting speed and accuracy was put to the test… but because I had paid attention to the lectures and demonstrations, I was able to do quite well in my hands on tactical gun training, even though… yeah, you guessed it… my gun malfunctioned. Twice in a row. But believe it or not, my gun training from Dr. Ignatius Piazza’s gun training instructors at Front Sight was so effective, that I was actually able to know BEFORE my gun malfunctioned.
Usually, when a gun malfunctions, the symptom happens when you press the trigger. You either get a dead trigger or a clicking trigger. At that point, you quickly check the gun visually, while moving out of the line of fire, to diagnose your malfunction. Then you can do what is needed to clear the malfunction and continue shooting. But Front Sight’s gun training is more than good. Front Sight’s gun training got me a step ahead. Because of Ignatius Piazza and my gun training instructors at Front Sight, I knew, by the way my gun shot, that the NEXT time I pressed the trigger would be a malfunction. This put me ahead of the game and gave me more time to diagnose and clear the malfunction, since I didn’t have that split second of the “OH, NO!” feeling. I actually had myself back to shooting position before some of the guys watching me realized what had happened. Now THAT is some badass gun training.
Because I was able to handle the situation at hand so swiftly, I was able to defend myself from the four attackers, having to take one of them down with a head shot, without running out of time or getting stressed. Bad guys often travel in packs, so Front Sight’s gun training for multiple attackers could really pay off if it is ever needed. How many other gun training schools will teach you that? Front Sight is the best.
Speaking of the best, Front Sight is as fun as it is educational, offering… competitive… gun training. The Chronicles of Front Sight: My Experience, Part Eight will show you just how competitive Front Sight is!
