What do you learn at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute
You learn more than just how to shoot a gun; that is for sure.
The things taught at Front Sight far surpass the curriculum at other gun training schools. Dr. Ignatius Piazza, founder and director of Front Sight, wanted to make sure that at Front Sight, you will get the best and most complete gun training you can find. Unlike other gun training schools, you will walk away from Front Sight a different person: more confident, more aware and a better shooter than you ever thought you could become, even with years and years of practice… and you will achieve this all in a few short days. It may sound too good to be true, but before your first day of gun training at Front Sight has completed, you will understand.
Front Sight Firearms Training Institute first and foremost concentrates on gun safety. Front Sight is focused on keeping you and your loved ones safe, so Ignatius Piazza’s gun training courses are incredibly safe. The gun training instructors will teach you how to handle a gun properly and how to increase your safety while holding it. During my first self defense gun training course, I felt safe one hundred percent of the time. I went to a shooting range after attending Front Sight and immediately noticed that barely anyone knew the first thing about gun safety. I was on edge for most of the time spent there, due to how these people were carrying themselves and carrying their weapons. You will be glad to know that the practices of Front Sight’s staff will make you feel comfortable, and teach you how to be safe, during and after your gun training.
During a typical day of gun training at Front Sight, you will experience many things, including hands on tactical gun training, watching shooting demonstrations and listening to gun training lectures. Wait, lectures? Before you argue and say that lectures are boring, you should know that Ignatius Piazza’s staff members will give lectures that will get you thinking and prepare your mind for what you are about to learn. You will gain a new perspective on gun training, the use of guns for self defense and the life that comes along with it. You will learn not only riveting things about guns and gun training, but you will also learn how to AVOID using a gun in the first place. Front Sight emphasizes the fact that you only want to use a gun if it is your last and only option. I found it quite enjoyable and refreshing to learn different self defense techniques that I could use before presenting my weapon. I also found it interesting to learn about the combat mindset, the emotional side effects of using a gun and how to deal with the legal aspects of having to shoot a gun.
Many people hear that Front Sight includes lectures and they immediately shy away from the gun training course. But let me tell you, I think that the lectures may have been my favorite part of my gun training at Front Sight. I was so impressed and eager to keep learning, because Ignatius Piazza expanded my idea of gun training and made me realize that gun training is more than just learning how to shoot a gun. Front Sight really is the most complete gun training I have found.

When I want to do something, I want to do it right. There is no point in doing something if I am only going to do it halfway. Go big or go home, right? Gun training is something that can save a life. Take it lightly or not seriously and using a gun could be dangerous or deadly. So why do so many people choose to not go big when it comes to their gun training?
Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, the huge gun training school located in Pahrump, Nevada, includes over five hundred fifty acres of shooting ranges, lecture halls and tactical gun training fields to give you everything you could possibly need from a gun training school. Front Sight is really a place that goes big… with EVERYTHING. Founder and director, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, was a chiropractor who had a rude and startling awakening in 1988 when his neighborhood was trampled upon by a drive by shooting. At the time, he had had gun training and was pretty proficient with his shooting ability, but suddenly realized that he lacked the skills he needed in order to use a gun for self defense to save lives. He decided that he was going to get the gun training he needed in order to protect himself and his family.
After a long and demanding route, Ignatius Piazza finally claimed the second Four Weapons Combat Certificate in the world and opened Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Front Sight was going to be, and still is, a place where students with any level of gun training and any amount of shooting experience can go to learn the best self defense gun training tactics possible. One Four Day Defensive Handgun Training Course with Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight can have anyone shooting better than ninety nine percent of the gun owning population. I am telling you… Front Sight goes big.
Starting with just a few students, Front Sight has at least doubled in size every year since its opening in 1996. Talk about going big! Currently, Ignatius Piazza provides gun training to tens of thousands of students every year. He trains more students than all of the other gun training schools in the world combined. How did Front Sight get so big? Well, say you were a beginner shooter and had never even touched a gun before. Then, you attended one four day gun training course. On day one, you fumbled with your gun, struggling to get it in and out of the holster. By the end of the gun training course, you were fast and nimble at presenting your weapon and getting it back safely on your hip. On day one, you could barely shoot anywhere remotely near your target. By the end of the four days, you could pick a spot on the target and make your bullet hit exactly there. Would you keep that a secret?
Front Sight grows so quickly because it is simply the best place in the entire world to procure gun training. When you do something, you want to do it right. Front Sight is definitely the right way to go.

Getting gun training is more necessary than you might think. One might think that if a woman had a restraining order against a man and the man threatened her or her children, the police would be obligated to protect them if she called them. Nope. Did you know that under Supreme Court Ruling, the police do not have an obligation to protect any individual? It is true. They only have an obligation to protect society as a whole. The Supreme Court case of Gonzales v. Castle Rock is just one of the many instances that proves this. Jessica Gonzales had her three children kidnapped by her ex husband, who ended up killing the kids. All the while Gonzales called police and begged them to help her, but they would not do anything… even though she read the restraining order that stated to the police that they needed “to use every reasonable effort to protect the children to prevent violence.”
Hartzler v. City of San Jose is another case that demonstrates this saddening fact. Ruth Brunell called the police on twenty different occasions, telling them that her husband was on his way to come kill her. They stated that she should call them when he got there. Yeah… he got there… and he killed her. Was the police department found guilty? No. The police have no obligation to protect individuals.
I have been familiar with this concept for quite some time and it sickens me each time I think about it. From the wise word’s of my friend’s Facebook status, “Who is obligated to protect me then? ME!” You are exactly right, Facebook friend that will remain unnamed. We owe it to ourselves to get self defense training and gun training so that we can protect ourselves when the police won’t. What would you do if you were being threatened and the police refused to protect you?
Get yourself some gun training from Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada. You will be glad you did. Front Sight is the number one gun training school in the entire world, doing more business and serving more students than all of the other gun training schools in the world combined. Ignatius Piazza combines well planned and executed educational lectures and interesting gun training demonstrations with exciting, hands on tactical gun training to create the world’s best gun training program. Just a few minutes on one of Front Sight’s shooting ranges and you will realize exactly why Front Sight is the top gun training school in the world.
There is no better way to feel safe than with Ignatius Piazza’s intense self defense gun training program at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Front Sight’s courses are tailored to help beginner shooters as well as advanced shooters… so no matter where you currently stand with your gun training, you can learn how to protect yourself and offer family protection, just in case the police choose not to.

For many people, it is back to school time. As a new semester begins, I am sure there are a lot of parents who are bidding their college kids adieu and sending them off to the dormitories. As a parent, have you ever thought about the safety of your children? No doubt that answer is yes. But now that they are older and able to watch after themselves, do you feel comfortable letting them live on their own in a college dorm, roaming around campus or parking lots late at night, attending those famous college parties or not checking in with you every night?
They may always be your babies, but the truth is, your kids are getting older. While we wish we could be there to protect them every day of their lives, every minute of the day, we just can’t. However, even without being there, we still CAN protect them every minute of every day for the rest of their lives. I am talking about giving them the gift of self defense.
Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada, wants to give you peace of mind by providing the world’s best quality gun training, knife training and self defense training of any kind to your college age kids.
My kid is going to be on campus all day and in the dorms all night… why does she need gun training? Like it or not, college campuses can be dangerous places. Just because knives and guns are not permitted does not mean they are not there. Bad guys do not follow the rules. There have been countless stories of students getting injured or killed because someone brought a knife or a gun on campus. Even if your child does not choose to carry a weapon, he or she should know HOW to use a gun, how to use a knife and how to use empty hands self defense techniques. Front Sight will teach students not only how to use a gun or knife safely and effectively, but also how to disarm an attacker. This will give them a much greater chance of staying safe if someone were to approach them in a threatening manner.
When you come to the conclusion that your child should get some gun training, you will likely want to take them to the best gun training school possible. And guess what? It just so happens that Front Sight is ranked the number one gun training school in the world. Founder and director of Front Sight, Ignatius Piazza has worked tirelessly to make sure that students get the best possible gun training education in a short amount of time. His gun training program will change your kids’ lives… and it will change yours, as well. In just a few days, your college student can have gun handling skills that exceed those of ninety nine percent of the gun owning population. Doesn’t that make you feel better about them being off on their own?

He may be a well trained Four Weapons Combat Master that can beat anyone in a gunfight. He may be strong bodied and strong willed and able to shoot a gun ambidextrously. He may be incredibly intimidating to watch while he shoots and hits several targets before you even know he has presented his gun to the ready. But Ignatius Piazza is still a man… a family man… who wants his family to be safe. He may have a though exterior, but inside, he knows what truly matters. And he knows that you probably have the same drive to keep your family safe as he does to keep his own family safe.

What is new and interesting in your life? Many people’s greatest adventure is seeing their friends’ status updates on Facebook. If that sounds like you, then maybe it is time to get your butt in gear and have a REAL adventure as the summer comes to a close. My current pick for a summer adventure would be to attend a self defense gun training course from Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, at his gun training school called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada.
Self defense gun training in an adventure? How can that be? Well, what are the things that best describe an adventure?
1. An adventure is something different than what you are used to. It is a step or two outside the box.
2. An adventure is usually something fun and exciting, with new experiences to be had.
3. An adventure usually helps you learn something interesting or worthwhile.
4. An adventure takes effort, but the value of the experience usually exceeds the effort expended.
Front Sight is likely something different than what you are used to, especially if you are used to watching movies and catching up on social networking. It is an incredible, mostly outdoor experience that will spice up your everyday routine and get you moving.
Front Sight is way more fun than I can even begin to explain. At my first self defense training course at Front Sight, I met a bunch of new people, got to learn a new skill and participate in the teaching of it. The hands on tactical gun training and shooting competitions definitely keep things exciting and keep students involved and interested the entire time.
Front Sight teaches the irreplaceable skill of self defense and knowing how to save lives. The gun training lectures, demonstrations and hands on shooting practice teach lifelong lessons while students have a blast. After attending a gun training course from Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight, students will have more knowledge and shooting skills than ninety nine percent of the gun owning population.
Like any worthwhile activity, a Front Sight student can’t complete a course without trying at all. The gun training courses at Front Sight are definitely challenging, but completely doable, even for first time shooters. The material taught at Front Sight is taught in a fashion that is manageable and never too fast, but is always moving to keep people interested and always learning. Have you ever tried to find good gun training? Like, really, really good gun training? If you tried prior to 1996 I bet you ran into some issues. Back then, finding really awesome gun training required talent. Lucky for us, now we can easily find great gun training and great gun training deals with Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. At Front Sight, you will find not only good gun training… you will find the best gun training in the world.
Founder and Director, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, ran into those issues when he was trying to find his own gun training back in the late eighties and early nineties. He really wanted to learn how to use a gun for self defense and family protection, but he kept running into walls and dead ends. Some gun training schools seemed promising, but then it turned out they were seriously lacking in some areas. Each gun training school that Ignatius Piazza came across had strengths and weaknesses. But where was the gun training school with only strengths?
The frustration that Ignatius Piazza experienced when he was on what should have been a simple search for basic self defense gun training became even greater on his quest to become a Four Weapons Combat Master… and he decided that no one should ever have to go through this again. Thus, he made up his mind to create the gun training school with no weaknesses. He worked tirelessly and finally, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute opened its doors in April of 1996. It has done so much for the gun training world ever since.
What are the strengths that you look for in your gun training? I would answer that question by saying complete material that focuses on gun safety and how to use a gun correctly, a gun training program for all experience levels, knowledgeable and friendly staff members, incredibly experienced gun training instructors who give one on one attention, and it would also help if the environment was fun and inviting. I can see how most gun training schools would have a couple of those qualifications, but I can also see how it would be difficult to house all of them at once. Well, Ignatius Piazza pulls it off with Front Sight Firearms Training Institute.
Let me break it down. The gun training curriculum at Front Sight focuses greatly on gun safety and nothing is left out. Every exercise taught, learned and practiced at Front Sight is safe and supervised. Students feel as if they are getting personal gun training, even with other people in the class, because the instructors are, literally, the best gun training instructors in the world. Questions are answered immediately and thoroughly, until each student fully understands the answer. Every employee at Front Sight, even the people that answer the phones and work in the Pro Shop, are trained in Front Sight’s gun training program, extremely sharp AND super nice. On top of all that, Front Sight’s gun training courses are SO MUCH FUN.
Check it out and you will see that Front Sight truly is the gun training school with all strength and no weakness.

In South Africa, it is severely difficult to obtain a gun. Applicants that would like to own a gun need to pass a competency test, a background check, an inspection of their homes and the police need to license the weapon, among other things that factor into the application process. The waiting period is usually longer than two years, and many people are denied arbitrarily. The BGOASA (an association of gun-owners in South Africa) was disappointed to report that about 2% of applicants were successful in obtaining a firearms. In addition, in three years (2006-2009) the police of South Africa reported a loss of 8,286 firearms, many of which were stolen.
Austria has much less strict gun control laws. There are some guns that the government restricts, but for the most part, citizens can get a gun somewhat easily. There are guns that require permission through licensing and some guns that require registration, while there are some guns that do not require registration at all. Most guns can be obtained by any citizen that is 18 years of age or older.
Which country do you think has a lower murder rate?
South Africa, with its very strict gun control laws, has been reported as one of the countries with the highest murder rates in the world, while Austria has been reported as one of the lowest murder rates.
Interesting.
It just goes to show that gun control does not equal less murder.
Founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, is a believer in this concept. Gun control is not going to help us. In the case of South Africa, the criminals that wanted guns stole them from the police. Where does that leave us law abiding citizens if the criminals have the guns and we do not? “Great… the guy that just broke into my house and is holding my wife has a gun. And I have this handy dandy bat that I can swing at him from across the room while he shoots me?”
Our Founding Fathers seemed to have it in their minds that owning a gun for self defense was important enough to list it as the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. We, as Americans, have a duty to uphold that right by not taking advantage of the situation, and by being SMART and SAFE about it. If we choose to practice our Second Amendment Right to keep and bear arms, we owe it to ourselves, our loved ones and our Founding Fathers to know how to safely handle that firearm. Ignatius Piazza, a Four Weapons Combat Master, can help us be smart and safe about gun ownership by giving us the best gun training money can buy at his gun training school, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute.
Guns can be efficient tools of self defense… if they are handled properly and used correctly. Please do not choose to own a gun just because it is a “right.” As Uncle Ben so famously stated, “With great power comes great responsibility.” If you want to own a gun, please get gun training and learn how to use that gun safely. Come to Front Sight and secure yourself that gun training.
