Dear Dr. Piazza,
On behalf of The ALS Association Nevada Chapter, thank you for your recent contribution.
An ALS patient wrote these frank remarks about this disease:
ďALS is a killer disease and the list of those it has killed is far too long. I donít want to become a member of that list. Yet, as of today, it seems inevitable. ALS took the life of Lou Gehrig sixty-two years ago, and still we donít know what causes it, how to treat it, or how to cure it.Ē
These ALS mysteries make life with the disease a difficult struggle. Yet, we can support patients and their families with programs such as respite care, equipment loans, and childrenís counseling to help them fight the disease. Thank you for joining us in this worthy fight!
