Dear Dr. Piazza,
Concerns of Police Survivors is honored to accept your recent
on-line contribution to support our programs
for the survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the
line of duty.
For 20 years COPS has provided healing, love, and life renewed
for the surviving law enforcement families. Our National Police
Survivors’ Conference is held each May as part of National
Police Week activities. Survivors from all across the country
have access to peer support and mental health professionals
familiar with the trauma inflicted by line-of-duty death. Your
support also helps fund our annual “C.O.P.S. Kids” Summer
Camp; our annual wilderness experience for surviving children
age 15-20; Retreats for surviving spouses, parents, siblings,
adult children, and in-laws; scholarships for surviving spouses
and children; and our national peer-support network.
Your generous support will be given special recognition
during National Police Week 2004 activities so that attending
survivors will know that you support COPS’ hands-on programs.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of law enforcement
surviving families. We wish you and yours a safe and peaceful
new year.
Sincerely yours,
Suzie Sawyer
Executive Director
