More Than Shooting a Gun: A More Complete Gun Training Course

September 23rd, 2011

What do you learn at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute?

You learn more than just how to shoot a gun; that is for sure.

The things taught at Front Sight far surpass the curriculum at other gun training schools. Dr. Ignatius Piazza, founder and director of Front Sight, wanted to make sure that at Front Sight, you will get the best and most complete gun training you can find. Unlike other gun training schools, you will walk away from Front Sight a different person: more confident, more aware and a better shooter than you ever thought you could become, even with years and years of practice… and you will achieve this all in a few short days. It may sound too good to be true, but before your first day of gun training at Front Sight has completed, you will understand.

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute first and foremost concentrates on gun safety. Front Sight is focused on keeping you and your loved ones safe, so Ignatius Piazza’s gun training courses are incredibly safe. The gun training instructors will teach you how to handle a gun properly and how to increase your safety while holding it. During my first self defense gun training course, I felt safe one hundred percent of the time. I went to a shooting range after attending Front Sight and immediately noticed that barely anyone knew the first thing about gun safety. I was on edge for most of the time spent there, due to how these people were carrying themselves and carrying their weapons. You will be glad to know that the practices of Front Sight’s staff will make you feel comfortable, and teach you how to be safe, during and after your gun training.

During a typical day of gun training at Front Sight, you will experience many things, including hands on tactical gun training, watching shooting demonstrations and listening to gun training lectures. Wait, lectures? Before you argue and say that lectures are boring, you should know that Ignatius Piazza’s staff members will give lectures that will get you thinking and prepare your mind for what you are about to learn. You will gain a new perspective on gun training, the use of guns for self defense and the life that comes along with it. You will learn not only riveting things about guns and gun training, but you will also learn how to AVOID using a gun in the first place. Front Sight emphasizes the fact that you only want to use a gun if it is your last and only option. I found it quite enjoyable and refreshing to learn different self defense techniques that I could use before presenting my weapon. I also found it interesting to learn about the combat mindset, the emotional side effects of using a gun and how to deal with the legal aspects of having to shoot a gun.

Many people hear that Front Sight includes lectures and they immediately shy away from the gun training course. But let me tell you, I think that the lectures may have been my favorite part of my gun training at Front Sight. I was so impressed and eager to keep learning, because Ignatius Piazza expanded my idea of gun training and made me realize that gun training is more than just learning how to shoot a gun. Front Sight really is the most complete gun training I have found.

Gun Training For 50,000

September 23rd, 2011

Training almost fifty thousand students in the span of a year, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute ranks number one in the gun training industry throughout the world. Founder and director, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, has spent much time, effort and funds to create the best gun training school in the world. Today, Front Sight is a place where people can come together and take self defense gun training courses, practice competitive shooting and learn combat gun use. The wide variety of gun training courses include all levels of gun training, so every student can feel comfortable in his or her own gun training class.

Ignatius Piazza designed his gun training program at Front Sight to emulate the best qualities of the gun training schools where he trained, but to leave out the negative aspects and anything else that was less than great. Thus, Ignatius Piazza ended up with Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, a perfect blend of all of the good and none of the bad. Front Sight’s gun training courses cover all types of learning styles, as to cater to many different types of people.

Audio learners get to listen to and participate in active lectures pertaining to gun training, gun safety, the legal side of gun use, The Combat Mindset, The Color Code of Mental Awareness and much, much more. Visual learners appreciate that the gun training instructors at Front Sight demonstrate each exercise and idea thoroughly and repetitively, so the students can see how each drill is carried out. In addition to seeing the correct way to use a gun, the Front Sight gun training instructors will also show how NOT to use a gun. (But don’t worry; they clearly explain when they are showing what not to do!) And of course, kinesthetic learners like myself get to participate in hands on tactical gun training such as stationary target practice, shooting a moving target, diagnosing and fixing gun malfunctions, night gun training, home invasion scenarios and even a shooting competition among other Front Sight students. Each type of learning style is emphasized in the gun training courses. This greatly increases the amount of information that is stored in each Front Sight student, which increases the effectiveness of the course itself.

I don’t know about you, but I find much more value in a gun training course (or any course, for that matter) from which I actually retain a lot of information, as opposed to a course where I only learn things to store in short term memory. The gun training courses at Front Sight are created to be stored in your long term memory… meaning that the information will be more readily at hand when you need it.

It is no wonder that Front Sight trains almost fifty thousand students in a year and is constantly growing. Every year, more and more students attend Front Sight… this is no coincidence. As soon as you attend your first gun training course with Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight, you will truly see and understand why.

The Chronicles of Front Sight: My Experience, Part Three

August 31st, 2011

Hi, again. Let’s take a quick review at where we are in my saga. (Random fact: If you Google “define saga” the first definition that comes up is “A long story of heroic achievement.” I kind of consider this story of my first visit to Front Sight Firearms Training Institute applicable. After all, Front Sight trains heroes.) Okay so my friend and I checked into Front Sight, the gun training instructors were epic, the lectures were incredible thus far and I was the worst shooter in the world.

One of the things about Front Sight’s gun training instructors is that they train you to not only be a perfect shooter, but they also train you to have confidence in yourself and in your shooting. Front Sight can train you to be a perfect shooter even if you are as bad as I was in the beginning. Founder and director of Front Sight, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, trained his gun training instructors well in all areas of gun training, including having exceptional customer service and a caring attitude. They work hard at helping their students embrace what they are good at in order to improve and perfect the things that they are not so good at. By encouraging a student’s strengths, that student gains a confidence that they could not have gained if the gun training instructors simply said, “We need to work on such and such.”

Ignatius Piazza’s instructors helped me find my strength: my presentation speed. What does that mean? That means that I was able to have my gun out of the holster and ready to shoot faster than some of the guys could get their hands on their guns. No kidding. This surprised me (and I think it surprised my friend, as well.) Well, my gun training instructors noticed that and they encouraged me and helped me get faster and better at presenting my weapon, so when it came time to actually shoot, I had way more time to focus and more confidence in my abilities. I was still shooting off target, but my confidence was growing and my instructors kept working with me. I felt like I was getting a private shooting lesson from a gun training instructor. But you know what? I asked around, and everyone else in my class felt the same way. Somehow, one range master and two gun training instructors made all of us students feel like we were the only kid in class. How great is that?

So why was I still shooting off target? My gun training instructors honed my skills so that I had more than enough time to aim. Have you ever heard the term “mashing the trigger?” Yeah… I was doing that. But we will go more into that later. Right now I want to tell you about one of the coolest features of Front Sight: the home invasion scenario. Yes, I literally got to walk through a house and shoot bad guys and save good guys. Did I mention that Front Sight is FUN, as well as helpful? Join me in The Chronicles of Front Sight: My Experience, Part Four to hear all about it.

Shoot Better Than A Professional: Gun Training That Works

July 8th, 2011

Does it seem like it would be a cool thing to do to be able to draw a gun from a concealed holster, aim, shoot and hit your target in a seemingly effortless manner? I think that sounds pretty neat. But let’s step it up a bit. Does it seem like it would be a cool thing to be able to do all that in 1.5 seconds? Wait. What?

Yes, I mean that from the time you start to the time you finish reading the word EXTRAORDINARY, you could have presented a gun from a concealed holster, aimed, shot and hit a target exactly where you wanted your bullet to hit. I don’t care who you are; that is extraordinary. And anyone can do it. (That includes you.) “But I have never even touched a gun in my life.” Okay. It still includes you.

How is this even possible? Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza makes it not only possible, but almost simple, when you attend a self defense gun training course at his gun training school called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. In four days or less, Ignatius Piazza can have you shooting faster and more accurately than you ever thought would be possible with a lifetime of gun training. “Those gun training courses at Front Sight must be DIFFICULT to get those kinds of results.” Actually, the Front Sight gun training courses are challenging, but they are perfectly suitable for even the most inexperienced of beginners. Like I mentioned earlier, even if you have never touched a gun before, Ignatius Piazza can train you to shoot better than the professionals.

Ignatius Piazza designed his gun training program at Front Sight to be able to cater to beginning shooters as well as advanced shooters. Both levels of students, as well as everyone in between, learn interesting things that will get them shooting safely, handling a gun correctly, shooting amazingly fast and refining their shooting accuracy to perfection. Front Sight’s curriculum is fast paced and challenging but at the same time, easy to keep up with and never leaves anyone behind. The balance of Ignatius Piazza’s lesson plan creates a great learning environment that is fitting to all experience levels, age groups and levels of physical strength.

“Let’s back up. Ignatius Piazza can have me shooting better than a professional shooter?” Yes. After your first self defense gun training course from Ignatius Piazza, you will have been taught the skills that can make you a better shooter than ninety nine percent of the gun owning population, and this includes people who use guns for a living. You will know secrets that ninety five percent of the gun using population have never been exposed to, and this includes people who have been professionally trained to serve and protect.

Front Sight’s gun training is no joke, and it is readily available to you. So, if you think that you would ever like to present your gun, aim and shoot on target in 1.5 seconds, or if you think that you would ever like to beat a professional shooter in a shooting competition, come take a look at Front Sight.

Lessons From the Best

June 30th, 2011

If you were to be able to score yourself a football lesson with Joe Montana, would you think that was pretty cool? What about if you were able to get a singing lesson from Aretha Franklin? Whether you are a fan of Joe Montana or Aretha Franklin or not, it is hard to deny the fact that the two superstars are among the top performers of their genres. Getting a lesson from the best of the best is hard to come by and usually really overly expensive… but it is always worth it.

My next question is this: Can learning football or becoming a better singer save your life? In most situations, (unless this is one of those crazy movie scenarios where the antagonist must sing his way out of danger), probably not. But it would still be great to get some lessons from those two entertainers, right?

How about getting lessons from an equivalent to Joe Montana and Aretha Franklin in an area that CAN save your life? I am talking about getting gun training from one of the best shooters in the world, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza. Self defense gun training is one of the best things that you can do for you and your family. It will teach you how to safely handle a gun, how to respond to any life threatening attack situations, how to protect yourself and how to offer family protection, as well. Ignatius Piazza is an extremely skilled shooter, having thousands upon thousands of hours of shooting practice, gun training and research on shooting and weapons. He was the second man in the world to become a Four Weapons Combat Master, which is an honor that is nearly impossible to achieve, and yet he still continues to study, train and learn, to make sure his skills never waver and are always up to speed.

Ignatius Piazza can shoot lightning fast, ambidextrously and with absolute precision, keeping him among the top shooters in the world for over a decade and a half. Getting gun training from Ignatius Piazza is a chance you definitely do not want to miss.

There are a few differences between getting gun training from Ignatius Piazza and the other scenarios we listed above. The first is that Ignatius Piazza is actually readily available to the public. He opened a gun training school called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in April of 1996, and has since offered top quality gun training to law abiding citizens from all over the world. He requires a background check and a character witness for the safety of everyone involved, but other than that, Ignatius Piazza makes it easy for anyone to get gun training if they really want it.

The second main difference is the cost. While a football lesson from Joe Montana would likely cost you a large sum of money, Ignatius Piazza offers discounts and special deals on his gun training at Front Sight. He wants to spread the word about gun safety to as many people as possible, so he is willing to make less profit in order to do so. The deals Ignatius Piazza offers are truly unbelievable.

Nothing beats getting training from the best in the field, especially when you can get it inexpensively. Front Sight gives you the opportunity to do just that!
