Gun Training: When Police Attack

October 2nd, 2012

Police are supposed to serve and protect, right? These men and women are hired to take care of us as citizens, correct? They carry guns and pepper spray and batons… several weapons that should be of use to them in dangerous situations. We are brought up knowing that we can always feel safe when a police officer is around. Gun control is a widely supported idea, because the only people out there that should have guns are these guys. Right? Not so much.

What happens when these men with the guns abuse their power? If strict gun control is in place, where are we then? How can we protect ourselves? I may sound like I am being overly anxious or paranoid. However, my coworker came to work today with a scary story of something that happened yesterday pretty close to her house.

The off duty police officer, hanging out in a bar, walked up to a group of guys that were playing darts. He started talking to them about darts and then said flat out, “I am better at darts than you are.”One of the men replied, saying, “Aw, you suck at darts.” Kind of a stupid conversation, I would say, and definitely not one to lose a life over… but in this day and age, we really have to be prepared for anything.

The police officer replied with, “That’s why I’m a cop. I can do whatever I want to do.” A few more words were exchanged, but the conclusion of the story is that “whatever he wanted to do” just so happened to be pulling out his gun and shooting one of the guys three times, killing him. What would you do if you witnessed something like that? Would you have just sat and watched? Or would you have tried to take down the guy with the gun? Would you have presented your own gun in defense of the unarmed man? Wait… if gun control is active, how could you have done that?

Gun control is a bad thing. It will not help anyone. What we need to do is get adequate gun training so that we can be prepared to protect ourselves and others in dangerous situations. Dr. Ignatius Piazza, a Four Weapons Combat Master, started a gun training school in Pahrump, Nevada, called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Front Sight offers the world’s greatest gun training of any kind, hands down.

Now, you may be thinking that if you witnessed the above situation, no amount of gun training could have or would have helped you or the victim. This dude was a cop. He has been professionally trained to use a gun. However, you should be aware that while Ignatius Piazza’s gun training program at Front Sight is offered to normal people like you and me, it provides gun training that outshines that of law enforcement and the military. After one self defense gun training course from Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight, you can have shooting skills that surpass those of many law enforcement officers in America. No other gun training school can say that.

So, let me ask you again. If you witnessed the above situation, what would you have done? I got my gun training from Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight. What about you?

Front Sight Protects You When the Police Can’t… Or Won’t

December 25th, 2011

Getting gun training is more necessary than you might think. One might think that if a woman had a restraining order against a man and the man threatened her or her children, the police would be obligated to protect them if she called them. Nope. Did you know that under Supreme Court Ruling, the police do not have an obligation to protect any individual? It is true. They only have an obligation to protect society as a whole. The Supreme Court case of Gonzales v. Castle Rock is just one of the many instances that proves this. Jessica Gonzales had her three children kidnapped by her ex husband, who ended up killing the kids. All the while Gonzales called police and begged them to help her, but they would not do anything… even though she read the restraining order that stated to the police that they needed “to use every reasonable effort to protect the children to prevent violence.”

Hartzler v. City of San Jose is another case that demonstrates this saddening fact. Ruth Brunell called the police on twenty different occasions, telling them that her husband was on his way to come kill her. They stated that she should call them when he got there. Yeah… he got there… and he killed her. Was the police department found guilty? No. The police have no obligation to protect individuals.

I have been familiar with this concept for quite some time and it sickens me each time I think about it. From the wise word’s of my friend’s Facebook status, “Who is obligated to protect me then? ME!” You are exactly right, Facebook friend that will remain unnamed. We owe it to ourselves to get self defense training and gun training so that we can protect ourselves when the police won’t. What would you do if you were being threatened and the police refused to protect you?

Get yourself some gun training from Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada. You will be glad you did. Front Sight is the number one gun training school in the entire world, doing more business and serving more students than all of the other gun training schools in the world combined. Does Gun Control Mean Less Murder?

November 25th, 2011

In South Africa, it is severely difficult to obtain a gun. Applicants that would like to own a gun need to pass a competency test, a background check, an inspection of their homes and the police need to license the weapon, among other things that factor into the application process. The waiting period is usually longer than two years, and many people are denied arbitrarily. The BGOASA (an association of gun-owners in South Africa) was disappointed to report that about 2% of applicants were successful in obtaining a firearms. In addition, in three years (2006-2009) the police of South Africa reported a loss of 8,286 firearms, many of which were stolen.

Austria has much less strict gun control laws. There are some guns that the government restricts, but for the most part, citizens can get a gun somewhat easily. There are guns that require permission through licensing and some guns that require registration, while there are some guns that do not require registration at all. Most guns can be obtained by any citizen that is 18 years of age or older.

Which country do you think has a lower murder rate?

South Africa, with its very strict gun control laws, has been reported as one of the countries with the highest murder rates in the world, while Austria has been reported as one of the lowest murder rates.

It just goes to show that gun control does not equal less murder.

Founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, is a believer in this concept. Gun control is not going to help us. In the case of South Africa, the criminals that wanted guns stole them from the police. Where does that leave us law abiding citizens if the criminals have the guns and we do not? “Great… the guy that just broke into my house and is holding my wife has a gun. And I have this handy dandy bat that I can swing at him from across the room while he shoots me?”

Our Founding Fathers seemed to have it in their minds that owning a gun for self defense was important enough to list it as the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. We, as Americans, have a duty to uphold that right by not taking advantage of the situation, and by being SMART and SAFE about it. If we choose to practice our Second Amendment Right to keep and bear arms, we owe it to ourselves, our loved ones and our Founding Fathers to know how to safely handle that firearm. Ignatius Piazza, a Four Weapons Combat Master, can help us be smart and safe about gun ownership by giving us the best gun training money can buy at his gun training school, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute.

Guns can be efficient tools of self defense… if they are handled properly and used correctly. Please do not choose to own a gun just because it is a “right.” As Uncle Ben so famously stated, “With great power comes great responsibility.” If you want to own a gun, please get gun training and learn how to use that gun safely. Come to Front Sight and secure yourself that gun training.

How Being Aware Protects You: Ignatius Piazza’s Color Code of Mental Awareness

November 2nd, 2011

How often do you find yourself in a situation that you really wish you knew self defense? Being a 5’3” girl, I often used to catch myself thinking these thoughts. I used to visit a certain bar with some friends. Our friend bartended there and we loved going out, having a good time and being at a bar that we considered safe. Our group was usually between eight and twelve people and we were also friends with the manager, so we were never worried about shady bar activities that sometimes happen. However, one boy changed all of that for me. He struck up a conversation and we went outside on the front sidewalk as many of us often did to escape the noise and get some fresh air for a few minutes.

After having my head slammed into a brick wall and being forced to do some questionable things, I was afraid to go outside by myself. I was nervous to be in places that people could not see me and I rarely walked outside alone after that. If I had been in Code Yellow instead of Code White, this would not have happened. I would have been able to stop the guy before he even touched me, because I would have been more aware of what was going on.

What is this Code Yellow and Code White? They are both phases of the Color Code of Mental Awareness, as taught by Dr. Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. During Ignatius Piazza’s gun training and self defense training courses, he teaches the Color Code of Mental Awareness to help raise your awareness of the world around you. Ignatius Piazza teaches that you can be so aware of your surroundings that you can often see a threatening situation before it becomes dangerous, giving yourself more time to respond, and thus, giving yourself more time to escape.

I became aware of the situation at hand when I hit the bricks. However, at that point, the guy (who was much stronger than me) already had me in a position where I needed to comply or something worse could happen. My newfound headache made it harder for me to think clearly, making it more difficult to weasel my way out from his grasp. If I had taken a gun training course from Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight and learned how to be aware of my surroundings and the people around me, I could have recognized him as a threat from the very beginning and avoided the situation entirely.

Now that I have had some excellent gun training from Front Sight’s incredible gun training instructors, I am more aware of what is going on around me. I catch myself in Code White sometimes and am able to correct it. Ignatius Piazza has helped me because now I know that I never again have to be caught off guard like that. I am safer now because of Dr. Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight Firearms Training Institute… and now I have no problem walking to my car alone, because I know I can protect myself.

Gun Training v. Gun Control: Choose Gun Training

October 16th, 2011

How did you spend your Fourth of July? Many people spent their Independence Day at the barbecue, enjoying burgers and maybe a cold one or two. Some people party their cares away. But there is one thing that is for sure: Walking down the street on July Fourth is a huge reminder of how great it is to be an American. People carry flags and fly them high, proud of where they live and where they come from. We, as Americans, are afforded some of the greatest freedoms we could ever ask for. I don’t know about you, but I would really like to keep those freedoms.

It is almost time for another Election Year. Seeing what has happened over the last several years, it is obvious we really need to think about who we elect as our new President. What are the issues that are really important to you? For many people, like myself, the issue of health care is important. Taxes interest a lot of people. The Department of Defense interests a large group of people. Another issue that is super important to me is that good old Second Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms.

We have come way too close to losing that right… and I want a President that is going to help us keep it. However, Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, has worked hard in the past to help our lawmakers know just how important that right is to us, and he will not stop working. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of a huge gun training school called Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, is an avid Second Amendment supporter, as am I. He understands how important it is that we keep that right to bear arms. If we lose that right, it puts us in danger because as much as we don’t like to admit, the bad guys are still going to have guns. Gun control is not the answer. Guns are never going to be completely out of the picture. They will always be there.

The truth of the matter is, is that guns in untrained hands are dangerous. There is no trying to get out of or around that one. But guns in the hands of someone who has had great gun training, like the self defense gun training offered by Ignatius Piazza at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, can be wonderful tools for family protection and self defense. What we need to be doing is requiring professional gun training, rather than trying to kick guns out of the picture.

Front Sight offers the best gun training that money can buy. In just a few short days, Ignatius Piazza can teach anyone the skills it takes to safely and effectively use a gun for self defense. After just four days with Ignatius Piazza in his gun training courses at Front Sight, any student can have better gun handling skills than ninety nine percent of the gun owning population… and that includes people who use guns for a living.

I support the Second Amendment. I support Ignatius Piazza. And, as a student of the gun training school, I support Front Sight!
